Has anyone made any tweaks on DVD Catalyst for helping with movie volume? I have found that the volume isn't quite high enough on conversion when listening on planes. I can mess with the settings, but its tough to replicate the noise level to get it right. I'm just hoping someone can help me out with settings they have used.
Thanks!

Have you tried the "volume maximizer" feature? I've not used it myself, but it sounds like what you're after.
I hope you're using headphones on the plane!

Yep hope that! As if you were trying to listen to music or watch movies on any device without them. I would have to Smack You really Hard! If I was there on the Plane![]()
But would check on DVD catalyst if they have an audio boosting feature during conversion? As some do as many movies have really low volume speaking parts vs. high volume crashes explosions,etc.. And normalizing across the audio spectrum would be a great feature.

As BobStro suggested, DVD Catalyst 4 uses something I call "volume maximizer"
By default, it boosts the volume on all your conversions to a certain volume level to make sure they are all louder AND at a similar volume level (so you don't have to adjust your volume when you watch a different movie). By default it is set to a "safe" 40 so that regardless of the type of movie you watch, it doesn't hurt your ears during loud portions (explosions and such).
If you want it louder, you can adjust it:
enable "Power User"
then go into Global Settings, and look for the "tweaks" tab. There, just change it to something like 60-70. I would recommend not going too high, because by increasing the volume too much, it might oversteer.
