HBO.GO

Can I get HBO.GO on my NOOK Color?  It says it's for ipad, ipod and Android.  Thanks.

Re: HBO.GO

No.

NC is none of those.  There are no apps you can get to the NC other than those from B&N.

OR, root and become an Android device.

AND you can view webbed movies with the browser.

7 & 2 and still playing with the new.

Not. True you do not need an app to watch hbo go. Just go to site and play movie. I watch hbo go all the time in the car on the nook color.

Re: HBO.GO

I'd love to know how your getting hbgo to work.  I'm about 3 episodes behind on my Game of Thrones LOL.

I'm looking at the hbogo.com website as I type this.  It's basically giving me 4 different options.

1) View on my computer, which when I do that, it recycles to the same 4 options

2) On your ipad

3) On your iPhone

4) On Your Android Smartphone.

Perhaps with a tether to his/her smart phone?  No need for a wi-fi connection - go 3G?

Or a MyFi, a wifi hotspot with a 3g uplink.  Or parked in a residential neighborhood :smileyhappy:

Re: HBO.GO

There is a difference between the HBO website and the HBOGO app. I downloaded the app to my smartphone but can't use it because what they don't tell you is that your cable company has to offer the service and mine (Optimum) does not.

Re: HBO.GO

I can't get it to work on the NC either.  I have an HBO.GO account and view on my laptop, but when I go to the same website on the NC the option to log in just doesn't appear.

Re: HBO.GO

I did have it working at one time with CM7 on an sd card and a modified build.prop file.

Major stiumbling block was logging in until someone figured out you needed to capitalize the first letter of the first word of your user name whether  the original was or not!.

I now am using MN 4.6.16 internal and cannot get anywhere with it.

I also wish HBO, Showtime, new movies, concerts and Mrs. Fields cookies were free.

Alas, no one has figured out a way to make that possible, at least not legally.

Oh yeah, I also wish NC and all eBooks were free.  And ice cream, and Lamborghini's too.

Re: HBO.GO

My browser was set to mobile mode and I still could not get to hbogo.com.  So, I changed to desktop mode and got in.  Was able to login via my local cable provider and can now get to the hbogo.com website but I still can't watch anything.  When I click on the thumbnails, the buttons I normally see on the pc aren't there.

I'll play with it a little more and see if I can get it to work.  I'll post when I get it working for those following this post.

Re: HBO.GO

Great thread - I came here looking specifically for this.  I have no problems using HBO Go on my Andorid phone and I was hoping I could run the app on my NC (running CM7 off and SD card) but no luck.  I was hoping it was just something I was missing but apparently not.

Re: HBO.GO

Has anyone figured out how to make HBO go work on the nook color?  Not interested in rooting my Nook at this point and have tried switching browser modes from tablet to desktop.  Desktop mode gives me a different HOB go page but to try to create a log-in or just log on is impossible because you can't keep the log on screen as your "top" active screen...it's buried by the HBO ads etc.

Would love a work around as I feel if I could just get to the log in page to log in, I would be good to "go".

Works like a gem on my laptop, so I know that it's not provider related.

Thanks!

Terry
