Less than honest app marketing.

Am I the only one left scratching my head here just a little. Some time ago I downloaded Agile Fusion's alarm clock app that also displayed the weather on it, cost me a cheap .99 and didn't have an alarm clock, but it made a great night stand clock. The one thing that the reviewers wanted was an alarm clock though. Now it appears that Agile Fusion has heard those requests and added those features. The only down side is that instead of releasing it as an update, they are selling it as a whole new app and charging again for it. Am I the only one that feels this is a very shady business practice? If one looks at the two they are easily identifiable as the same app. I thought Barnes and Noble insisted on controlling the market to protect their customers from this kind off thing and make a profit. Sadly it is becoming evident by this kind of behavior and their "please un-register your device" tech support that they are only concerned with the latter of the two practices.

Re: Less than honest app marketing.

You do know there are developers that are doing this. BN has nothing to do with what a developer does about updates to their apps or the developer creating another app and charging you for it.

Re: Less than honest app marketing.

Sad to hear that has happened to you.  I know when our company (5ivedom) creates apps, we use the input from the users to make the apps better and more in line with what they need - however, we've been trying to do this through updates instead of new apps.  Good to know your thoughts on these things.
