My books are not downloading

Hi!  I've had my Nook color for over a year.  I've never had a problem with it until today.  I purchased two books, got a confirmation email for both, and they are both in my nook account online.  However, they will not download to my Nook color.  I've restarted, hooked it up to my computer, and it still isn't working.  I have an internet connection... I can check my email and browse the internet using my nook.  I can't figure out what else to do to get these books loaded on here!  I just have two bars with grey stripes, and occasionally the word download pops up again.  Any suggestions?

It is a B&N problem.  You can download to ipad, tablets or computer but not to the nook.  They just said give another 24-48 hours to fix, which could be Monday

Adding to what Carrie64 said.

 

USers are saying that support told them that B&N is doing a massive upgrade of its servers and that has caused some outages. They are working on it.

 

That's what a user at the Questions & Answers Forum said.

lol - give them a few more hours???? I have been having this problem ever since the last update (1.4.3) I purchase things - it doesn't matter what (book, magazine, app) get the confirmation, get charged and then cannot download them. The online and phone help just tell you to re-initialize the unit (which erases ALL of you items) and then you have to individually download each item. Unfortunately, the items that were giving difficulty downloading.....still don't download!

This sounds like an issue with your nook.  Have you taken it in-store and had the nook specialist look at it?  If not, you might want to.

This sounds like an issue with your nook.  Have you taken it in-store and had the nook specialist look at it?  If not, you might want to.

 


 

I've got to back up Keri, the issue addressed in this thread has been resolved.  It was a system wide one.  What you describe here sounds like a device specific issue.
