My new 16gb Tablet had a slight warp in the frame

Just bought it today at my local B&N. When I charged the battery for the first time, I noticed the plastic frame surrounding the screen was not lying flat on the RH side. I covered the tablet face with a soft cloth, and gently smoothed the frame flat top-to-bottom with my fingertip. Just wondering if other tablet owners have had this problem? It appears the adhesive hadn't dried completely after leaving the factory, hence the very slight warp. The frame looks fine now and hasn't warped out of shape again, hope it stays that way!

Bring it back. If the unit is warping durring charging, it could spell a defective battery that is overheating. Do not pass go, exchange at once.

The "glues" they use to manufacture these things (when they, in fact use glue), is instant dry, usually UV triggered material.

My two-week "window" for doing a return/even exchange is up tomorrow, and this tablet is going back to B&N then. Had a lot of little problems over the past 14 days, stuff that makes frame warpage insignificant by way of comparison. I don't want a refund, nor do I want a "refurb." I just want a new Nook Tablet. One that works, preferably, as advertised. No more, no less.

If you exchange it within the 2 week time frame, B&N's policy is to exchange it with a new model, not a refurb

You have 30 days to return a defective nook and get a 'new' one. After 30 days you get a CPO (referbished) nook which is also covered under the 1 year manufacturers warranty. Within 2 weeks of purchase you can return your nook for full credit, or exchange it for a different model. For a return after 2 weeks a store credit (gift card) would be given, or up to 60 days with a gift receipt. The purchase of an extended warranty gives you coverage for an additional year and adds on accidental damage. This warranty can be added on within 2 weeks of purchase.
