Yes it's very simple, once you have a "nook friend" you will be able to view their entire "lendable" library. You then select which book you would like to borrow, they then must confirm your selection. You may then begin reading said selection.

I'm having the same problem.  I sent an invite to a co-worker who has a NC and she accepted the invite, I show up in her friends list but it still shows on mine that I sent the request but she hasn't accepted yet.  I called B&N and they said that the Beta version is still in test and that to expect gliches.  They had me delete them off of both NC's and re-request and still doesn't work.

-fantasy (authors like Cecilia dart-thornton, james clemens, jennifer fallon, karen miller, robin hob, etc)

-paranormal (such as book series like those by: patricia briggs, jim butcher, charlaine harris, kim harrison, stephanie meyer, etc.)

-murder mysteries (this and fantasy genre books are usually what i read the most of)

-contemporary fiction (lately i've been reading stuff by nicholas sparks."The Last Song" was pretty good)

-historical fiction

-sci-fi (currently reading C.S. Lewis's space trilogy)

i've got hundreds of paper books, but so far only just a few ebooks.

the authors i've listed here only covers the tiniest fraction of the list of authors that i've read stuff by and really liked
