The Dish Network Remote Access app for TV everywhere would be great. I upgraded from my first generation nook with the understanding that this app would work (It apparently worked on the nook color).

It works on my husband's ipad 2, but I would also love to get it on my NT too.

Re: OFFICIAL NOOK Apps Suggestion Thread

Just went through this thread that was started in November and here we are at the end of January and I see little, and I mean very little, progress on these requests. Why bother having threads like this if the follow through is going to be so poor. To say this is disappointing is an understatement. I could understand that fulfillment on obscure apps could take some time, but why are people still waiting for a gmail or overdrive app? Does Barnes and Noble even have a nook department, and if so what do they do all day? BN should be on top of this glaring problem, especially when you are in a market as competitive as ereaders and tablets. In this market, you can't just release a great piece of hardware and then rest on your laurels, its all about innovation and BN is way behind.

Re: OFFICIAL NOOK Apps Suggestion Thread

I got the NT because I wanted new comics. Unfortunately the selections they have are graphic novels with older comic stories. PLEASE get Comixology! I have contacted Comixology and they said they'd be happy to make a NT version if BN changes their policy and allows in-app purchasing. PLEASE BN!

Re: OFFICIAL NOOK Apps Suggestion Thread

Anything would be an improvement! I'm really dissappointed in the limited amount of apps available. And even more disappointed in how only a small handful of the ones available are free. If the Nook Tablet is running off of Android, why not allow us to have access to their market as well?? Or at the very least allow us to have more of the apps that are available on the droid market, available on the nook market as well.

I understand the need to make money, but really?

Re: OFFICIAL NOOK Apps Suggestion Thread

Since I can't get to a non-BN app store, I don't know a title, but right after a file manager app, we need a zip/unzip app. I've now downloaded several books that came as ZIP files. A couple were actually ePubs, but all I could do with the others was unzip them on my PC and then move them to where they were supposed to be. Of course, I had to use the PC to rename the others, too.

Re: OFFICIAL NOOK Apps Suggestion Thread

The app I would really like to see is Read It Later. If I'm browsing Twitter or some other site, I may not have time to read all the links I am seeing, but I don't want to have to bookmark all of them.

Also, this isn't an app, but I would REALLY like the ability to copy and paste.

Re: OFFICIAL NOOK Apps Suggestion Thread

If you have quickoffice pro, it lets you open zip files... You can then copy and paste from within the zip folder into any folder on the SD card or internal memory.

Re: OFFICIAL NOOK Apps Suggestion Thread

Given that the Nook Tablet is a reading centric device built on android, and FlipBoard may be a ways off, let's see Google's Version of FlipBoard: http://venturebeat.com/2011/12/08/google-currents/
