I've been trying to set up my email on my Color Nook.
We have our internet and email with AT&T which uses the Yahoo network. It keeps telling me that it can not connect with the server.
I live in Indiana.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Try this - if it doesn't work you might have to google other settings:
AT&T has changed their POP3 settings as Follows

in addition to sandie52's suggestion I recommend a websearch using:
"(service provider) mobile email setup"
service provider in your case being AT&T
this should bring up tons of results for settings you can try, the problem being that yahoo has absorbed a lot of other email providers and the server settings are all over the place

also - do you currently use the ATTmail system,
and if so - how do you access it -
A - only via Webmail interface
B - also via a desktop email program like MS Outlook, Express, etc
If you do have a desktop program,
you might check the exact details of how things are configured/defined:
User ID - with or without a domain name
Servers - Incoming name and Outgoing name
Ports for servers -
Authentication - what if any is used

Be advised that if your AT&T e-mail account was established after June 2011 it is not POP'able. I read this while trying to setup our local Food Bank e-mail. You can verify this as I may have it wrong, but that is how I understood the written information on the AT&T support site. I have a very old Prodigy/Yahoo/AT&T e-mail that is now an AT&T managed account and it is POP'able. When I established a new AT&T e-mail account for the Food Bank it would not respond to any setup attempts to POP it to other devices.

Wow--and thanks! I've got an AT&T account that I don't use often, but it is still active. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to set it up. Now it works! You're awesome.

I have been using my nook color for awhile and I am now setting up the email for att.net. Upon searching with a friend of mine HIGH AND LOW, we found the answer. Go to ATT.NET WEBSITE and go under support for email settings. or you can highlight and click on the link and you will find the settings you need. Remember when changing the settings on your nook to type in the proper fields for the server, the port and security. EX: inbound.att.net EX: 995 http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB4015
