It's been 2 days since the n2a cards have been released, and I've been anxiously awaiting reviews and other more brave souls' experience with it before ordering my own... I'm surprised there hasn't been any more discussion about them! An inquiring mind wants to know! I enjoyed the NC with the android root, but have since given it to my daughter and kept the tablet - and have been collecting apps to sideload from Amazon free app of the day.
(I realize that perhaps those who ordered them haven't even received them yet - but I wanted to get the discussion going!)

Great! Thanks - I'm anxious to get one, but figure I should hear a bit about them first!

I got mine yesterday, late afternoon. So far, so good, although I did have one glitch occur shortly after starting it up. Somehow I managed to accidentally reboot into the Tablet. No idea of how I did that, since I was just trying to set up the screen timeout defaults when it happened. Turned it off compeletely, rebooted to android, and have not had another problem. I have successfully switched back and forth several times now, installed Overdrive Media Console successfully, and now I'm just trying to understand how android systems work in general. The cards don't come with a user's manual for android!
For those who had an N2A card on the Nook Color, were any of you able to get wallpaper on the android side without the weird cropping? I want to use one of my own photos for wallpaper. I had trouble setting it up on the Tablet at first, but finally got it to work. Now I want to use the same photo on the android side, but no luck at all, and I can't find anything on the N2A web site with a solution.

I never tried an N2A card on my Color, but my understanding is that the process for switching from android to Tablet and back is not the same as from android to Color and back. It is not difficult, but there is no way to get from the Tablet to android without completely shutting down the tablet. When you power it back on, it reboots into android automatically. To get back to the Tablet, you hold the power button in until you get a menu, and one of the items on the menu is reboot. Select that and you go back to the Tablet mode.
By the way, I found a document from a google search that explains how to get the wallpaper to work. It is a little odd, but basically you have to size the photo to the full resolution of the screen's height (1024 pixels) and twice the resolution of the width (600x2, or 1200 pixels.) The explanation was that android kind of overlaps the wallpaper on 3 screens, not just the middle one. I don't claim to understand it, but it does work.

Wallpaper Wizardrii (free in the Market) can help with the cropping so you can get scrolling wallpaper on the NC running CM.

Got my 32gb card tonight and so far, I really like it. It is possible to go back and forth between Android and the tablet by rebooting to get back to the tablet as an earlier poster mentioned. And when I say reboot, I mean via the popup menu. Having to remove the card doesn't seem to be necessary, but I will continue to fool around with it. The device boots into Android very quickly and I now really love being able to have HBO Go installed along with Netflix for streaming videos. Everything is very quick and responsive. This was a good investment.

Works like a dream, it made my day to see that beautiful CM7 screen come up. I've got all my stuff transferred over and all my apps installed. I put it through it's paces and it does everything I need it for flawlessly. Five stars and two thumbs up.

I mostly agree with the last post. Since my initial glitch on day one, the card has been working perfectly. On the N2A forums there are people who cannot get their cards to work, but the majority of them seem to have purchased the wrong card, i.e. they bought the Color card but had the Tablet device, so the card would not work.
N2A tech support is outstanding.
My only complaint right now is that I purchased a couple of Nook apps and would like to have the Android versions so I can just stay in Android all the time. Seems the only way to get there is to pay for the apps twice. Switching back and forth between the native Tablet and Android is easy enough, but it is a little time consuming and not as convenient as just having everything in one place.

Thanks for your updates on the n2 card. I was so anxious to make my tablet more like my rooted color, that I have ordered the card based on only one review! Looking forward to receiving it -(perhaps tomorrow - no mail today )
I have one concern. Before update 1.4.1, I had downloaded Go launcher EX, as well as Button savior which allows me to opt for 'home' or the 'go launcher ex'. The apps I installed before the BN update work - and there are many that are dowloaded, but not installed. After the update, installation wasn't possible.
I can ask the techs on the n2a site, but was wondering if anyone had the same configuration, and if it will complicate using my n2a card? (Probably a dumb question showing that I have no idea what I did, but just followed instructions on (perhaps) lilliputing - and it worked until the update!)
Thanks again for your reviews on the card!

There are specific ones for Color and ones for the Tablet. You need to choose the one you need.

I have the NC since last year - along with the 8GB N2A card - and it's GREAT - I only go back to Nook mode for some magazines that requiire native Nook mode.
For those that are new to all of this.... the SD Card goes into the Nook Coloir/Tablet -
there are DIFFERENT ONES because the boot technology is different between the NC vs the NT16.
You power it down, insert the SD Card, power it up and it dual boots from the SD Card.
With a quick choice of boot into the Nook natively, or default boot from the SD Card for full Android.
Nothing is modified on the Nook -
it's like booting a PC from a floppy or CDrom vs directly from the Hard Drive.
Once you are into Android mode - the full Android Market and all the normal apps are all there.
Had been watching for the team to get a workable and bootable version for the NT - and just found out here - vs over on the N2A website - that they are currently shipping...
Here's a link to the N2A store
There does appear to be a problem with the newly avail 8GB NT vs the working 16GB NT -
Will be good to keep reading the threads here and over on the N2A forums.... though they are hard to nav since the categories are overlapping...
