Thrillbent - Free Weekly eComics

[ Edited ]

DC and Marvel Comics writer Mark Waid (The Flash, Daredevil, Irredeemable) has launched his own website for digital comics - http://www.trillbent.com .  Eventually, the plan is that this site will feature several comics by several creators.  Currently, the site has one ongoing series by Waid and his Irredeemable artist, Peter Krause, titled Insufferable.  The story focuses on Batman-style hero Nocturnus and his arrogant, self-centered former sidekick, Gallahad.

The weekly installments post on Wednesdays.  They can be read online or downloaded - free and legal - in either PDF or CBZ form.  Both of those formats can be read on the Nook Color or Nook Tablet, which is why I thought to post this here.  I just downloaded the first 9 "issues" to my NC to try it out, and I'm enjoying it so far.  I thought other comic fans here might be interested.

Re: Thrillbent - Free Weekly eComics

After playing with these files on my NC today, I think I have figured out how to get as close as possible to the intended experience. My suggestion is to download the PDF file, turn off the page animations, and read in portrait mode. The images appear in the center of the screen, and the transitions appear the way the creators intended. The animated page turns don't quite give the desired effect.
