Re: Transfer pictures from pc to nook color reader

Easy to do! Plug your NookColor into your computer with the USB cable and navigate to the My Files folder on your Nook. Then drag and drop your pics into the Pictures folder. Be sure and Safely Remove your Nook from your PC. Your images should show up now in your Gallery.

A note of caution on doing this... after you copy the files to your nook, double check the original location.  For some reason some computers are setup to "move" the file rather than copy it.  Would be a shame to accidentally lose the only copy of a shot and find out after the fact.

Robert...very valid warning. That is one of my fears when giving advice on how to move pics.

This is why I have never been a big fan of drag and drop.  to be safe, if you are using Windows 7, select the pictures you want to copy, then click "edit" and select "copy to folder."  this is how I copy pretty much all my files from one place to another.

I would like to put a few of my photos on my Nook but when I plug it in, I do not see that drive, even though I do see two other drives (DVD and flash drive).

Make sure your NC is on and unlocked. To verfiy this, just view your home screen. Then plug in your NC to your pc/laptop using the usb cable.

First message is telling to proceed to transfer files. Open File explorer and should see the Nook & SD card mounted as devices.

2nd message is a reminder??? that when done to safely unmount device after done transferring files?
