Updating expiration date on credit card?

I need to change the expiration date on the credit card registered with B&N for my NC. I don't need to change the card itself, just the date. When I tried to do it, I can't find a place to do it. It appears I have to enter a new card number. Is this right, or am I missing something? How do I change just the expiration date on the cc?

Under Manage Credit cards, on the left it says Default Credit Card.  Under that it should list part of the credit card number and the expiration date.  That is a link.  Click on that and it will take you to where you can change the expiration date.

There was a thread on here many moons ago which discussed this subject and even though one could change the expiration date of the default card, B&N didn't recognize the change when buying Nook Books. I don't know if B&N has fixed this glitch.  The fix at the time was to just delete the expired card and then enter in the same card with the new expiration date as a new default card.  That is what I ended up doing.

But like I said, the glitch may be corrected now.  You might want to do a search for that thread.

I've changed the expiration date, and there wasn't any problem with buying or downloading or reading already purchased books... it all worked exactly as it should.

No, you shouldn't have to.

I changed all my credit card info (new card) and it was a seamless process,   All my nooks on my account (4 of them) had no problems downloading and opening books.
