Video App/File Converter......HELP NEEDED!!

Ok so there's some videos on Youtube that I would like to download. I found a converter to get them onto my computer that pretty much works, but I can't the the videos to show up on my NC. Is there an app/converter that I can use to convert these videos so I can see them on my NC. And is there an app/program that I can use to download the videos straight from Youtube in the right format?? Thanks! :smileyhappy:

Download and install RealPlayer, it puts a little download tab at the top of the youtube video. Download the video, which brings up its download manager. Click on convert ... it might complain that you need Flash, if so, re-install Flash.

In the Convert window, you have a choice of "device" ~ look for common video formats. When that comes up, pick H.264 for iPod. Click on details, where it saves save as custom, click there. That turns the video format information boxes into drop down boxes: drop down the quality box in video and pick 2.5MB/s and the resolution and pick 480p HD. As far as I understand, those are the both the maximum that the NC supports.

No matter what video converter you use, be sure you use H.264 "for Apple", "Baseline" or "for iPod" ... there are three levels of H.264, and the NC only supports "Baseline". Luckily iPod users are in the same boat, so lots of video file converter programs support that ~ though iPods don't support 853x480, so you normally have to adjust the resolution if you use an iPod video converter.

please make sure you have chosen the right format, according to my own experience, h.264 mp4 is the best video format for nook color
