What Nook Apps Would you Like?

After making our first Nook Color App: Hangman  we're on the road to making more Apps.  We'd love to know if there are there any games we could make for you in the App Store?

Re: What Nook Apps Would you Like?

the unique design of your game is very fitting for hangman but I can't quite see it for any other game other than maybe tic tac toe but there are 2-3 of them.  the card games that are out there are full of color and animation, is that in your repertoire?  if so:

  1. people are clamoring for scrabble or a facsimile
  2. another shot at a cribbage game (astraware's version cheats in my opinion :smileyvery-happy:)
  3. tetris
  4. not another physics game
  5. game like grisly manor or trailwinds 2 (an actual game ala PC version)

thanks for dropping by...

I would like a checkers game. Dont need anything fancy. Just checkers that you can play against computer or against another person. Even 2 people in same room.

Re: What Nook Apps Would you Like?

if you could make a version of Hex Empire, that would be awesome :smileyhappy:!

it's a rather simple strategy game, but is quite addicting :smileysurprised:

if you haven't head of it, be sure to check it out.

Re: What Nook Apps Would you Like?

I am a huge fan of tower defense games (Plants vs Zombies being a very popular example) and I think these would port well to a device like Nookcolor.

Otherwise, anything in the "scribbly" art style of the hangman game produced by the OP would be cool though  :smileyhappy:

Re: What Nook Apps Would you Like?

I would love to have more games like grisly manor.  This was a HUGE hit with my family.  I would also like some educational games that are actually fun that include the letters, sounds, and words that begin with that sound.  The only educational abc stuff that I have found is for young children.

Re: What Nook Apps Would you Like?

Also, it's not a game, but i definitely think a specialized version of the Seekdroid App should be made for Nook Color :smileysurprised:

That is a pretty cool app! I didn't know about it, but I'm going to install that on my phone :smileyhappy:. However, we are game studio so I'm not sure if we'll ever get into utilities like that.

Re: What Nook Apps Would you Like?

Ryan,

What kind of games do you develop? I would love to see the hidden object style games that exist on Bigfish. And I agree with an earlier post that games like tradewinds and The Secret of Grizly Manor

Love Hangman though

Re: What Nook Apps Would you Like?

I'd like apps to look at Weather Underground or US Weather Service predictions, weather radar pictures and weather model animations.

I'd like a better picture viewer than Gallery; an easy sketch pad; something that can download, store and show terrain maps by section; an interactive turn-based thinking game like Myst or Zork.

We have the capablities to develop games for mobile devices, especially the Nook Color, so thinks like hidden object games, point and tap adventures as well as strategy/resource games are something definately in our wheelhouse.

I have brought all your suggestions thus far to the rest of the team at the studio and many of you should be pretty happy in the near future. Sorry to be such a tease, but I'm a big fan of surprises :smileyhappy:

Glad you like Hangman! Hopefully you'll like what we have in store too!

Re: What Nook Apps Would you Like?

we all know your true motivation for being here is to support your product (makes perfect sense) but thanks for participating in these forums and listening to us.  of all the developers, the only other that i've seen taking such interest is agilefusion.

and per your comment in another thread, i just glanced thru various app reviews and some are cleaned up, some are not.   you'd think the fix that parsed the text to clean up the + would apply to all but some reviews still have them.

Re: What Nook Apps Would you Like?

Would love to see a goofy golf game  - could work like angry birds. Also there is an older game called Soda Pipes - mindless but fun.

I do enjoy the games like hidden objects also.

Thanks for asking

Re: What Nook Apps Would you Like?

or what if there were  a poker app where you could play against nook friends and bet your ebooks :smileysurprised:?

where everyone playing selects an ebook from their nook library to put in the pot and winner takes all :smileyindifferent:.
