Will the next (or future) software update for nook color allow users of the device to finally view online videos: QT, WMP, etc.?
What kind of online video ~ legit streaming video, legit downloaded video, or pirated video?
Other than the long-promised Hulu Plus, the only prospect that one might reasonably hope for would be a Zune app, as a strategy by the Windows/B&N partnership to transition people into Zune/XBoxLive memberships. Full XBoxLive support would likely wait on a new device, but support for paid downloads from the Zune marketplace is something that is feasible with both the Nook Color and Nook Tablet. A Nook Color version would likely be limited to SD, while a Nook Tablet version could also support HD downloads.
I'd expect to see the Nook Tablet 8g pushed to replace the Nook Color from above and some form of front lit NST Color replace the Nook Color from below. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the regular NST pushed down to $60~$70, the NST Glow pushed down to $120ish, and the Nook Tablet 8G pushed down to $150~$160, with new Windows 8 Nook Tablets introduced at $200 & $250.
