How have your impressions of Frank changed now that we see him in India?  

Why doesn't Viva want him to feel protective of her?

Frank and Viva are mysteries.  Frank seems quite normal, but I do still wonder whether Medicine is his true calling.  At times he seems to want to pursue Viva, but she puts him off so much I wonder how long he will continue trying.

From the beginning, I have been somewhat suspicious of Frank.  It always seems like he is withholding part of the truth.  So I don't feel like we really know the true Frank. 

I don't think Viva wants anyone to be protective of her.  I see Viva as very independent and I think she feels a need to prove (perhaps more to herself than others) that she can take care of herself.
