I particularly like the two-sided style Maeve uses in this book, I always love to hear both sides of a story and this style gives us an insight into two characters who are close in one way or another. Are any of her other books written similarly?

Yes, I think all of her books that I have read tell the same story from different viewpoints. Then, everyone is tied together into the town. Quite a web she weaves! What I am trying to recall is if she had actual chapters for different characters in any of her previous books like she does in Whitehorn Woods. It is not particularly important because the overall effect is essentially the same.

Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.

Re: Whitethorn Woods by Maeve Binchy

As Maeve Binchy's April Book Club discussion has now officially opened for posts, I'm going to go ahead and close this thread to new messages -- but please be sure to join us in the Whitethorn Woods Book Club to meet Maeve, and talk with her about her acclaimed new novel. See you there!
