Just an FYI – one of my fav series, Jaye Wells' Sabina Kane saga, will be ending in just a few weeks. Blue-Blooded Vamp hits the shelves on June 1st. This is the end.....and although I'm totally bummed out, I'm really excited to see how Jaye wraps this storyline up!!!

Oh no! I'm heartbroken
I just found the series and am caught up now, so I'm sad to see it go. But I am also really interested in seeing how Jaye Wells wraps the series up (I'm not read to let it go yet!)- it'll be good, no doubt about it!

I'm confused! Was the release of the book moved up? It just showed up on my nook yesterday - I had pre-ordered it so I would have it when it came out...

Hey Thirsty Flea!
Thanks for posting this question. I just checked and the eBook version is no longer on pre-order! (I don't pre-order eBooks as it can be such a pain to get them to download.) Yea! This means I can take it with me on vacation, woohoo! ![]()

Hi guys,
Just wanted to address the early release issue. My publisher sets an official release date--in this case June 1--but it's what's called a "soft release." It's more of a suggestion, I guess. Retailers can put it out whever they want. The good news is the early release means you all get the book more than a week earlier than expect. The bad news is it creates some confusion and all my promo plans get a little wonky.
Regardless, I hope you all enjoy this final installment in Sabina's saga.
Jaye

Thanks for clarifying, Jaye!!!! I felt like I did something wrong... I don't always pre-order, but I'll be out of town next week and wanted it to show up on my nook without thinking about it
And I'm more than happy to have access to the book earlier than expected! But... double-edged sword here, I'm sad it's the last in the series, but can't wait to see where this ends up!!!!

I read Blue-Blooded Vamp over the holiday weekend, and I'm disappointed to say that, in my opinion, it did not measure up to the earlier volumes in the series. While it wrapped up the series nicely, I thought that there was an excessive amount of facile philosophizing, and I thought the events related to Giguhl and Valva were silly and distracting.
I'm not saying that Blue-Blooded Vamp was bad; I just think it suffers by comparison to the previous books. Ms. Wells, if you read this post, I don't mean it to sound like a back-handed compliment; as a whole, the Sabina Kane series has been one of my favorite paranormal fantasy series, and I look forward to reading whatever you come up with next.

I am down to the last few chapters and have not been able to put it down. Not finished yet, but I felt the need to look for this comment (I remembered reading it a while ago) and say - I completely and utterly disagree with you. The book has been excellent and has not disappointed in the least. :-) All the stuff between Giguhl and Valva but just Giguhl in general, is one of the reasons I love this series. It is both serious and funny...
