I was wondering the same thing.  Bribery, tears, pleading, fan club, rioting, full scale worshiping (ok, so I am kinda already doing that one)??    Oh well, a girl can dream... lol

Beg, plead, borrow, steal, what ever it takes.  I think I saw a tweet by her for nachos she would read book 2. lol.  What does she like on her nachos?  We will have to keep after her.  Where is she at now?

Interesting observation about Anyan's feelings for Jane. I just thought that he hadn't been around humans very often and Jane was sort of a novelty for him. Would be a nice twist if this developed into a love triangle between Jane, Anyan, and Ryu. Can hardly wait for the sequel! Do you think if we bugged Nicole enough, she would let us take a peek at it? Maybe massive bribes? :smileyvery-happy:

I didn't even think of him not being around humans or mortals much.  That could explain some of it as well.  It would make for an interesting line with a love triangle.  Could put Jane in a pickle at the wrong moment....

We will just have to wait and see what comes up.  When is book 2 out?  July?

LOL You guys are hilarious. Unfortunately, I teach freshman, so I am IMMUNE to all bribery/pleading/etc. attempts. But I can assure you that Anyan is increasingly important in the series and you'll get a lot more of him in Book 2.

Which, btw, is out July 1st. :-) And Tempest's Legacy, the 3rd book, will be out January 2011.

Thanks for reading! Jane appreciates it very much, and so do I!

Re: DECEMBER FEATURE #2: Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler

I think we all still have a little freshmen in us. :smileywink:  Well, when it comes to awesome books...

I am marking these dates on my calendar, althought I will be waiting very, very patiently...  lol. Okay, okay...

I love how they are close together.  Its nice that you wrote them with just months between.  I really appreciate it as a reader.  Thank you!

Now, that Anyan is going to be more imporant... hmmmmm.  I LOVE that! I really liked him.  I was hoping that he would get a bigger role in the books, and being he was such an important part of Janes live when she was going through he time at the hospital.  He really helped pull her through and didn't know it.

SWEET!!

Pen21: Thank you! And I love writing about Anyan as much as people seem to enjoy reading about him, so it's my pleasure. :-)

Melhay: You rock! I really appreciate all the support. The series is just getting bigger and more ambitious as I go . . . I have some big plans, if all goes well and Orbit picks me up for more Jane True! :-)

Paul: The cover artist is doing some AMAZING stuff for book 3! It's going to be incredible. I think I just write books so I can see Sharon's covers. LOL

And for those of you who like the artwork (especially that vampire heart), Sharon and I will be opening a zazzle store at some point in the New Year . . . vampire hearts for all!

WOOT!  That's awesome to hear!  I finished reading it last night... LOVED it!  I kind of suspected that Anyan had feelings for Jane after he got all wierd when she starting "sleeping" with Ryu.  I think it would make for a good love triangle...he seems to be more concerned for her and her safety than Ryu...it almost seems like Ryu has alterior motives.  Sounds like the next one will be even better so I'm definitely looking forward to reading it.  Love the covers too...they are definitely unique.   :-)

[ Edited ]

I enjoyed reading 'Tempest Rising' over the holidays. The main characters (especially Jane True) are truly likable, and the book's hidden, supernatural world is captivating and imaginative. The book winningly mixes a murder mystery with a coming of age tale. And, the romantic sub-plot is icing on the cake. There's a refreshing naivety about Jane which is very attractive. This is truly a fun read, and Im looking forward to reading the second book.

Thanks Dainewt! I just posted some pics of how Tracking the Tempest will look, from the first pass ms I just edited, on my site (http://nicolepeeler.com). The fire heart on the new cover looks GREAT reproduced internally. And it will officially be going into production, soon! :-)
