dulcinea3 - wow, echoes of "the stand" in "cell"...i think i totally see what you mean.  that apocalyptic on-the-move feeling...yeah...totally!  i hadn't thought that before, but it resonates.  cool.

Re: Horror Novels: Discussions

bookguy-  hmm, this LAW OF NINES sounds right up my alley.  i recently read "city of thieves" by benioff.  not exactly horror as a genre? but horrific, as war goes.   what do you think?  do you know the book?  and "chimera" by brearton, which also deals with parallel dimensions.  i know i've plugged "chimera" a couple times, but it's a little book i hope to see do well.  i will check out NINES, for sure.  thanks.

Re: Horror Novels: Discussions

I Loved “The Stand”; I have not tried “Cell” yet. And I will have to look into the “Nines” for sure now too.

I set a goal to read every Dean Koontz novel ever written, and I run a fan page for Koontz on Shelfair.com. I suffer from the syndrome, too many books too little time  :smileyhappy:

I just started my first Robert McCammon book “Swan Song”, and really enjoy it. Anyone else have a favorite McCammon novel they think I should try next?
