Re: JANUARY FEATURE #1: Silver-Tongued Devil by Jaye Wells

I just finished this book last night...holy CRAP.  :-S

**SPOILERS**

I DID NOT see that coming...  I'm very, very sad Maisie died...and the way she died even more horrible.  :-(  Orpheus and Tanith though...that even more of a shocker!!  I was also not expecting Cain to escape.  I can only hope that Sabina has no mercy on him whatsoever when she catches up with him, especially for her sister.  I'm looking forward to her kicking his A$$!!

Her and Adam...wow.  Talk about some deep stuff they had to get through.  I'm glad she's finally embraced her dark side though and looks like he's finally going to accept that part of her as well.  Man I was so angry when she bit him (like during some amazing sex for crying out loud...who wouldn't loose their mind, LOL) and he freaked out on her then LEFT!

I'm just glad they sorted things out and will work together again to find and kill Cain.  Love Gighul in the book once again...he is hilarious.  :-)  I'm dying to find out what will happen with Mac and Georgia though...I can't see Mac staying with that guy...maybe she's going to end up killing her new mate?  Hmmmmmmm  I wonder what kind of repercussions that would have?  Oh the speculation...  LOL

LOVED this book...looking forward to the next one.  The last book in the series...  :-(  *sigh*

Hey guys! I am psyched SILVER-TONGUED DEVIL is one of the featured books for January. This installment has murder, mayhem and Mischief demon roller derby. I hope you like it! I'll be around if you have any questions.

I am picking this up as I type, can't wait to check it out!

Okay, I'm done! And here are my thoughts:

I have to admit – I was expecting something excellent (I love this series) but this novel just blew me away. I wrote it in my blog but I'll say it again here – I think this is Jaye's strongest work to date and I think this novel just propelled this series into the all-time great category.

Agree or disagree?   :smileyhappy:

I've had book one on my wishlist for a while but haven't gotten to it yet....I just noticed that the NOOK version is only $2.99 right now.  If you know any other slackers like me that have yet to give this one a try, pass it along.

Paul,  I totally agree with you but this series was already one of my top 5 favorites.  I picked this book up and didn't come up for air until the last page and once I finished I was impressed with Jaye's writing all over again and it made me want to go back and reread the entire series again and it isn't often that I do that.  However, I adored Red-Headed Stepchild and I have been wanting to go back and reread it again.  I am sad that the next book is the end of the series.

Paul, I actually thought Green-Eyed Demon was the stronger book.  Although I loved the twists and turns of Silver-Tongued Devil, it felt like a "bridge" book to me (perhaps because I had already heard the series was ending with the fifth book before I read the fourth one).

Both were amazing, Brandie – I am sooooo psyched for this last book!
