I remember reading somewhere that we hadn't seen the last on Nick, so with only a few books left, we should see him soon. I just hope he gets what coming to him!

Watch out!  3MM has brought out the growl!  And, rightfully so!  He is such slime!

The guy looks too big to be Nick to me, unless he started using steroids, so I am going to go with; "Nope, not the slime ball".  That is my wishful thinking and I am sticking to it.  Unless, of course, he comes back to get killed by someone.  Rachel doesn't have to do it.  It would be a nice way to say "I love you" from Trent.  Just sayin' is all!

Re: Kim Harrison's Hollow series

As ashamed as I am to admit this, I've never read The Hollows, but I have heard such amazing things about it that I feel like the series needs to be turn into my Fall read, especially after reading this! Sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing.

God--I missed this latest cover. Thanks Pen!:smileyhappy:

I wonder if Rachel's face will be obscured in the final cover? You know, like Black Magic Sanction was.

Re: Kim Harrison's Hollow series

OK. Before anyone says anything, I know I'm performing a bit of necromancy and resurrecting this thread, but that is only because I am in the middle of reading this series and have run into a serious wall.  I didn't want to hijack the thread on A Perfect Blood, which is the reason I started reading the whole series in the first place, and this seemed to related to the series in general.

OK, So my issue is that I keep on going to start the next book (The Outlaw Demon Wails) and I just can't get past the first few pages.  I am so upset about Kisten and the ending to For a Few Demons More. Did anyone else have issues with this?  I could use your insight.  thanks.  sigh.

Re: Kim Harrison's Hollow series

I am sooooo curious as to how Kim is going to end this series... It has to be something monumental but with two books left, it could be antthing!

Complete double edge sword on this one.  I'm salivating at the idea of the next book, but dreading saying good bye to our motley crew of friends from the Hollows. :smileyfrustrated:

When Kim was here for a book signing, i just had to go.  I had just started the series and knew that I might be getting some spoilers, but who could resist?  Anyhow, she said that there might actually be three books remaining.  It depends on how the ending comes together.  If she can't finish the story arc up in 2 books she wouldn't force and would write three.  So maybe?  Don't know if I want to wish for 3 or not.  Two seems too early to say goodbye, but I don't want three just to drag things out and hang onto the characters for a bit longer.  Guess we will just have to see what happens...

Also, she made an interesting comment on the HEA endings.  She said that HEA to her doesn't necessarily mean that everyone pairs off and rides into the sunset, but that the characters have grown enough to manage to be on their own (I'm paraphrasing here from memory).  So to me it sounds like she is setting up for everyone to still be friends, have relationships, but to be self sufficient, maybe not so co-dependent?  But again, I am still only half way through the current series....
