I had to feature this title – there are some crazy fans of this series on the forums and, well, if I didn't feature By a Thread there was gonna be trouble.... ![]()
Seriously, is this one of the most underapreciated series out there or what?

I just finished this book. Loved it!!!
--------------------------------spoilers---maybe--
I was really worried where this series was going after the last book where Gin killed Mab, but I was not disappointed. This series has become one of my favorites.
shhhhh....I'm reading.

I know! It's driving me nuts hearing you guys talk about how awesome they and then seeing them sitting on my shelf. Every time I get close to reading one a bunch of new series releases come out, or the library finally gets a book I've been waiting for. No more excuses though. This is the month.

Greetings, all. I am posting the link to my review here:
http://www.bittenbybooks.com/49711/by-a-thread-by-
I started reading this series with the novella "Thread of Death" that immediately precedes By a Thread. I honestly did not have any trouble diving in this far into the series, which kind of surprised me.
If you have read this most recent book, what did you like most about it? How did you like it in comparison to other books in the series?
Carol

I really enjoy this series. Its a three and a half four. I thought the series was really good when I first started it but the love thing was yucky. Then she hooked up with someone who wasn't abusive mentally. The whole thread through the series where jin was self hating was the one thing that sometimes almost turned me off. But the way her character has grown into herself, I find myself enjoying the read more. This series is one of my comfort reads. I like revisiting the characters and seeing what's up. I'm looking forward to her next adventure, with her crew. .

Lilithesque, since I didn't read any of the series before this book (except for the novella, which caught me up a bit), I missed those aspects of the earlier books that bothered you. Gin is definitely a complex character with a traumatic background, but I'm glad I missed those parts you mention. ![]()
Who are some of your favorite characters in the series, or this book in particular?

Another fabulous Gin & Co. adventure by JE. :-)
Mild spoilers here....
I'm so glad she met up with Donovan again and put him in his place...for good. She and Owen are so good together because he accepts her for who and what she is. Great to see her put another bad guy in the ground...or rather to dust! Like she always says... It was very sloppy, sloppy, sloppy of him not to make sure she was dead, LOL! I'm sooooooooo glad her and Bria have moved on as well...everything is out in the open how each of them feels, and now they can only grown as sisters. :-) Also love the chemistry between Bria and Finn...they are so cute together. Read the blurb for Widow's Web at the end of the book...can't wait for that one! :-)

Teresa, this was my first full-length introduction to the series, and I really enjoyed it. I had not "met" Donovan before, but he seemed like a jerk. ![]()
One aspect of the book that I most appreciated was the psychological introspection that Gin engaged in. After all, being an assassin provides plenty of fodder for examining one's motives. ![]()
