Must buy.

I loved the first one and can not wait to get a chance to submerge my eyeballs into the sequel.

I have been waiting on this sequel and just got the book this past weekend. (Finally, a book that I am currently reading that matches up with current recommendations from everyone around here. I'm usually way behind everyone else. :smileyhappy: )

I read this one right away- I loved the first book so much! Although to be honest, I was a little lost at first with this second installment, like I needed a refresher of the first book...

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts!!

Excellent comment, Thirsty – I should get to this one next week and I'll post my thoughts. What was your final assessment – mediocre, very good, great....

I started this one yesterday and so far I am loving it. I did go back and skimmed the first book a little just so it would be fresh, I am glad I did too! I think the best thing I like about this book so far is that it is 500+ pages! It just seams like here lately that all the books I have been reading has been around 250 to280 pages. Anyway like I said, so far I am really liking this book, will come back after I finish to wrap up my thoughts.

I'm glad you're liking it! I liked it too, but didn't love it like the first...As I said, really wished I had brushed up on the first one before reading this one. Maybe I should do that and reread the second? We'll see...

I would go with "very good" on this one, but maybe it was because I was not remembering enough from the first? I'm terrible at putting my thoughts together, so please bear with me!

I didn't really feel connected to her husband Lex (he just seemed like a jealous a-hole to me), and Zachary Harrison was not very prominent in the story, despite Cat trying to break from him in the first part of the book. After that... not so much. Or at least I feel like he was kind of pushed aside as a background character. I really wanted to see more of him and his changing relationship with Cat. I also missed Cat's faerie cousin Portia- she just wasn't around much. When she was, it was great, but I missed her too.

I did like the development of Zach's banished faerie uncle (forgot his name!), Lex's sister, and the escort  to hell (forgot her name too). Those were great additions to the cast of characters! Oh and I loved learniing about the hell world here- very cool.

The dragons vs. helicopters? Um, didn't really like that scenario too much. And when Cat & Lex were being challenged on their positions as Titania and Oberon, it just seemed too easily resolved and like an undeveloped story line.

I don't know- I think I just felt like there was so much more in the first one- it felt like 3 books in one to me. This one just felt like one, and feeling like I was missing something. Not as much happened in this one, I guess, it just felt anti-climactic to me, and just not as developed.

Yet despite all my negative comments, I did like it! It just didn't feel as substantial to me as the first...

Ok, so I finished this one last week and I really enjoyed it, not as much as the first one, but I will be looking out for the next book in this series. I kind of wish that she would had spent more time on the trip to hell, it just seamed to rushed and over quickly. the same goes for the big fight at the end too. Overall, it's worth the read.
