I agree, this series is good-have read the first three. Not sure when the next one comes out and have to agree it is hard to find dates for release in U.S. I think it is The Price of Prey?  I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this Jan release but here it is:

I've been waffling on this series – not sure why but...

WHAT???  Paul, I'm shocked.  I thought for sure you would of read this series by now.  Well that would explain why these never make the monthly featured list.  Give it a try Paul.  I'm fairly confident that you will like them.  In fact I would lay a bet down that you will. :smileywink:

I agree with you 3m....this is a great series. I started reading this one last night and I am up to chapter 7. So far so good.

Really Paul, you need to read this series, you'll love it.

Jo

shhhhh....I'm reading.

 The Rook by Daniel O'Malley

“The body you are wearing used to be mine.” So begins the letter Myfanwy Thomas is holding when she awakes in a London park surrounded by bodies all wearing latex gloves. With no recollection of who she is, Myfanwy must follow the instructions her former self left behind to discover her identity and track down the agents who want to destroy her. She soon learns that she is a Rook, a high-ranking member of a secret organization called the Chequy that battles the many supernatural forces at work in Britain. She also discovers that she possesses a rare, potentially deadly supernatural ability of her own.

Has anyone heard anything about this book?  I saw it on the Fiction Affliction list for January and thought it sounded interesting.

I was lucky enough to read this book early and liked it enough to give it a cover blurb. It's a really fun world O'Malley's created and an impressive debut.

Re: Other Potentially Awesome January Releases!

Thanks for the Goodreads tip, go there often. Was actually referring to McLeods series-(its good but hard to pin down release dates) and then meant to add Rowlands release-but when I posted it went further down page than I thought it would. A dumb mistake on my part. Thanks though SciFiCanuck, much appreciation.

Well, if we're listing every notable UF release in January, then the concluding book in Green's classic Nightside series just has to be mentioned.

The Bride Wore Black Leather (Nightside Series #12) was released January 3 and, together with the other January released/featured books, I'll be reading it this month.:smileyhappy:

I've gotten way behind on the Nightside books.  Guess I'll to get back on track....

These are the only books I have ever read where I am honestly continuously hysterically laughing out loud to myself.  Highly recommend this series to others.
