They have been talking about a redo, but the original cast has trash talked it back ever time it comes up. I think they are waiting for more of them to die first, only 2 of them left now.

I remember a few years back when TBS came up with arguably THE WORST TV IDEA EVER – to make Gilligan's Island into a reality show. Remember The Real Gilligan's Island? When I saw the commercial for this show for the first time – which was essentially softcore porn – I remember thinking, "this is a new all-time low..."
