Try the Greywalker series by Kat Richardson..it rocks too !
Thanks Kimba. The Greywalker series is on my short list along with Mercy Briggs, October Daye and the Cass Dollar/Aftertime trilogy. I just have which one to pick up first....

This is one of those rare series that start off slow and then just explode. Talk about a series with character development! In every book the protagonist just keeps evolving and growing by these huge emotional bounds. It's also nice to read a Paranormal Fantasy series about a normal average woman with no natural powers or hidden secret mojo abilities.
This is a little basic here but the simplest way I could think to describe the series progression. Book 1, Hunted by the Others was okay/good and my curiosity was piqued, Book 2 , Taken by the Others , was good and had me placing future books in my To Buy List, but Book 3, Deceived by the Others, just plunged it into one of my favorite series list.

It even feels and smells good. Now I just need to ditch the family, get some good lighting going, settle into my reading chair, and open a bottle of wine....another happy sigh. Now say a pray to the reading Gods that it really will be all that and a bag of chips and we are ready to go!
Working on a few books at the moment.
Got this one going with another reader. Goodness is this series great! Scifi elements, but not the bogged down technological details. WONDERFUL series.

I am about 100 pages in and while I am enjoying the countryside descriptions and the story premises, I am finding the story to be jumbled and at times confusing. The story doesn't flow quite right. I will continue on. I always feel a little guilty criticizing someone's work and want to be sure its not me.
