Found this one in my travels on the weekend.... :-) Sounds really good!

Ashley was just trying to get through a tough day when the world turned upside down.
A terrifying virus appears, quickly becoming a pandemic that leaves its victims, not dead, but far worse. Attacked by zombies, Ashley discovers that she is a 'Wild-Card' -- immune to the virus -- and she is recruited to fight back and try to control the outbreak.
It's Buffy meets the Walking Dead in a rapid-fire zombie adventure!
Current book(s): Falling Blind by Shannon K. Butcher (Sentinel Wars #7)
Just finished: Kitty Rocks the House by Carrie Vaughn (Kitty Norville #11)

I have yet to read this series, Deb, but the cover art is stunning. Is this considered YA?

Just finished Anne Bishops "Dreams Made Flesh" and getting into "Twilights Dawn". Have her her Black Jewels trilogy at least once every year!! So these two books have been a nice addition to my Anne Bishop collection.

I really enjoyed reading Sadie Walker is Stranded. A great blending of horror, humor, and post-apocalyptic romance. Madeleine Roux is welcome talent to the genre in my opinion.

Yes please tell us more about the books. They have even talked about them on the evening news here. So I am curious.

Don't know if everyone but me knew about this, but the first book in the Parasol Protectorate is currently on sale for the Nook for only 99 cents. I had this on my wish list since I read Paul's review and someone else on the board had mentioned the series as well. Thought I would share...
Soulless (Parasol Protectorate Series #1)
Overview
Alexia Tarabotti is laboring under a great many social tribulations. First, she has no soul. Second, she's a spinster whose father is both Italian and dead. Third, she was rudely attacked by a vampire, breaking all standards of social etiquette.
Where to go from there? From bad to worse apparently, for Alexia accidentally kills the vampire -- and then the appalling Lord Maccon (loud, messy, gorgeous, and werewolf) is sent by Queen Victoria to investigate.
With unexpected vampires appearing and expected vampires disappearing, everyone seems to believe Alexia responsible. Can she figure out what is actually happening to London's high society? Will her soulless ability to negate supernatural powers prove useful or just plain embarrassing? Finally, who is the real enemy, and do they have treacle tart?
SOULLESS is a comedy of manners set in Victorian London: full of werewolves, vampires, dirigibles, and tea-drinking.
“Let us be kind, one to another, for most of us are fighting a hard battle.” Ian McKlaren
