I liked the way that Justin Cronin spaced The Passage, yes there might have been some lost stuff, but he makes up some of that in The Twelve which is also really good, in The Twelve we go back to year zero and see the world implode then go forward.

If you like the minutea of apocalyptic novels you might want to give Harry Turtledove's 

Supervolcano Eruption 

it came out last December it's about the supervolcano under Yellowstone the next one is due out this December, plus this is a natural disaster so you're not fending off "virals"

Loved this book. It just sucked me in. Great new series by Amanda Hocking. I couldn't put this book down. What an ending! I am glad the second book Lullaby is coming out in November.

I just finished a YA book Storm (Brigid Kemmerer's Elemental Series #1)  and loved it! Can't wait for the second to be released at the end of this month!

I just finished The Technologists by Matthew Pearl. What I'm reading now is the second installment in the Darkness Rising series by Kelley Armstrong, The Calling followed by Julianna Baggott's book Pure

I just finished Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy #2)  which I absolutely LOVED. I love the epic-ness (is that a word?!?) of this trilogy!

I'm still reeling from everything I learned in that book, so I think I'm going to delve into something more manageable... a little dose of YA .. so I'm starting Spark (Brigid Kemmerer's Elemental Series #2)  tonight

I LOVE this series! I've been reading it since I think the 3rd book came out. They weren't what I was expecting when I started reading them, but think the characters, stories, world, and magic are all amazing, and I really look forward to each new release!

I'm very sad that the series is ending, but how much more can poor Allie go through?!?  I would love it if there was a spin off! Especially following Shamus... hmmm...
