Who's Your Favorite Sidekick?

This is a good one.  I think I have to go with Ivy from the Hollows serious.  I don't know if she would be considered a sidekick, but I think I will pick her anyway.  She is absolutely fantastic!!

Ivy's definitely a sidekick. (She's also a love interest!) I love Jenks in the Rachel Morgan series too.

Right now mine is Bob from the Dresden series.  Bodiless and lover of trashy romance novels...too funny!

Excellent choice. I always got a kick out the amoral, intelligence entity Bob. I love it when he kids Harry.

Charlie from D.D.Barant's Bloodhound Files series.

Plus Pam from the Sookie books.  Although I don't consider her a sidekick, but a fantastic background character.

Charlie's is such a quintessential guy that I always find references to his lack of genitals disorientating.  I know--he's a golem but you'd think they could add some kind of 'package' to those plastic suits the golems wear.

I think of Edward as more of a supporting character than a sidekick. It's probably because he's not always at Antia's side. Nothing, (except the omnipresent 'arduer'), is always with Antia.

If Edward is a sidekick to you then he belongs on this list.

I was just commenting. There is/are no hard and fast rule(s) as to what defines a sidekick.

Edward is extremely cool and a hell of a sidekick for Anita.

Well I would have to say Bob from the Dresden files.

But a close 2nd would be Janes libido in the True Jane series, surely that would count as a sidekick.

Jenks!!!  He is the best character ever written. He is one of the main reasons I got hooked on The Hollows.

Well, hate to agree with most of you but for me the best paranormal fantasy sidekick has to be Jenks. He offers up comic relief but there is also incredibly deep character development which makes readers really love that pixy!

Also, how about the sentient tattoo/demons from Maxine Kiss?

ok, had to jump back in here since I'm currently reading the Sabina Kane series- I really really love Giguhl as a sidekick!

I'm not sure I like him better than Jenks, but then again, I've read more Hollows books than Sabina Kane, so I "know" Jenks better... But Giguhl is an exceptionally awesome sidekick!!
