Since 1997, you’ve been coming to to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Last Week for June Author Appearances + Coming Soon...

[ Edited ]
Hi All:

Just a note to remind you that this is the last week our June authors will be with us, and I'd like to take this opportunity to warmly thank Paulette Jiles for a great month of conversation centered around her wonderful novel, Stormy Weather.

I'll start up a "Thank You"/Goodbye thread for Paulette by week's end, and I do hope you'll all stop by and give her your best!

Coming in July

As for next month, with July 4th falling in the middle of next week, our July Book Clubs won't officially begin until the 9th. This means that the July Book Club email will be going out a bit later than usual, so be sure to visit our Coming Soon page now to find out about our July author appearances -- including Dorthea Benton Frank, Kim Harrison, and Arthur Phillips.

While you wait for the July clubs to start, why not check out our several ongoing conversations? We've got great boards on topics including Literature & Life, and two brand-new forums -- Mixed Media and Book Collecting. In addition, there's a fascinating discussion of Middlesex, Oprah's current Book Club pick, going on.

Finally, visit the blog post on our plans for what is certainly July's biggest event -- the July 21st release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I think it's safe to say that July is going to be one *hot* month in our Book Clubs! Hope to see you all on the boards...
