Anyone else want to provide some input on this?
From my research and asking around, it seems to follow something along these lines.
Sales Rank - Sales Per Week
150 - 1,200
200 - 500
500 - 200
1,000 - 80
5,000 - 50
8,000 - 40
20,000 - 20
50,000 - 10
100,000 - 5
If this is something that B&N would rather not be discussed, then I guess the moderators can delete this thread.

If you don't see one where the details are, then you haven't sold any.

Hello I am not sure you will reply since it has been a longtime since you posted this. But, the question i have is how do you correlate amazon canada sells for a book. I track my book through novel rank and get a idea of sales, though they underestimate sales. I have held the number 3 spot in sci-fi fantasy for 20 days now and today is my 10th day on the top one hundred best seller spot(currently number 35) my best ranking was 26 but normally rank in the 30's. I have a basic understanding of correlating ranking with sales on amazon u.s. as my book was #72 for amazon u.s. for the week of sept. 26,2011 and have a figure from my publisher for that time period. But, as canada amazon is smaller than u.s. canada what would the correlation between best seller ranking and book sales be? As i have not gotten my first royalty check, i am kinda in the dark for actual sells or even how to get a good estimate.
On b&n my ranking stays around 45,000 then once every couple days drops below 1,000 then gyrates back up.

Ask the question at Kindle Boards. They should be able to tell you.
It's easy to register there.

February
I can't really speak towards any other format other than B&N.
Sorry, I haven't gotten around to replying sooner.
I feel like the numbers have changed a lot since this was written. There are so many more custmers out there now.
80/week does not get you anywhere close to 1,000 rank now in my opinion. Maybe a 3,000 rank.
