Previewing a Document in the Nook for PC?

The Support page says you can preview your document in the Nook for PC application to see how it will appear before uploading it to the PubIt self-publishing platform.  However, I don't see where you can load your Word document and convert it. All I see our published books you can read.

Re: Previewing a Document in the Nook for PC?

I went and had a look again at the Pubit support pages. You have to upload and have Pubit convert the document and then the Nook for PC can read the epub file. Pubit concerts the document to epub. It is complicated to do this and I wouldn't try, I got my book uploaded and it looked fine on the regular previewer. It was also fine on Nook for PC. I would go through the upload process and view your document on the previewer. You can do your document over after you upload it. You can do that as many times as you need. I hope this helped. I am groggy and have my doubts that I was at all useful on this. I think I read in Pubit support threads that there is a way to get the epub and look at it in the Nook for PC without paying for your book. I don't know what it is, but someone here does know.

Re: Previewing a Document in the Nook for PC?

I know its been addressed here before, but if you have a Nook/Nook Color, its best to sideload to them directly and view your formatting that way. I'm sure there is a way to view your epub through the Nook for PC, I don't know how to do it because I load mine onto my nook and check my formatting there.

As I've stated before, if it looks perfect on the actual e-reader, then it will look perfect on the buyers phone, PC or Nook. Please don't rely on only the PC viewer or the nook previewer after you upload to pubit to make sure your file is readable, because chances are, it won't be.

Thank you Melissa. I wasn't sure of what was what. Mine did look okay on the online preview and the Nook PC. THe Nook was also okay. I was lucky.

I build my epubs online in EpubBud first: www.epubbud.com. From here you can download per device.
