Support Phone Number!!!

If anyone wants a support number: 1-866-597-9863. If you're having trouble this will get you quicker results than the e-mail: the operator I just spoke to said that not only has PubIt stopped sending alert e-mails, their backlog on support messages will leave you waiting two weeks for a resolution to your issue.

Re: Support Phone Number!!!

Thats odd - I tried getting an issue resolved with this number and the rep said this number is for registration issues only - and they gave me an email to try - saying there is no phone support number, only email.

The email they gave me was

exch_pubitbusiness@book.com

Re: Support Phone Number!!!

866-597-9863 is the number I have, however, calling and talking with support as an author was a total waste of time. This is the e-mail address: exch_pubitbusiness@book.com - give them a shot, but if you are an author, it will most likely be a waste of time too.

Re: Support Phone Number!!! still primarily for problems in getting account registered/activated

I know this is old thread, here is current info which validates what has been written above:

The 866 597-9863 is a live person who only can help with getting an account registered.

However, I did ask to speak to a superviisor who could not provide technical support, but was willing to ask the PubIt business section, which s/he indicated was seriously under staffed, to expedite a response to my questions. I was grateful for the help from an intelligent supervisor.

I had emailed and not yet gotten response asking for clarification on B&N's lack of one-to-one relationship between the 5 Categories you can assign when entering an eBook in the system and the Subject area that one then sees on the website.  There are numerous non-fiction Categories that do NOT have any obvious Subject area on the website. Inversely there are Subject area wordings on the website that do NOT have any obvious Catergory choice. Anyone in library science would probably have a fit! Unfortunately this makes it trial and error to assign Categories in the hopes that your title will end up in the Subject area that you deem accurate/appropriate. This is what B&N considers to be a technical problem, when in actuality it is B&N's lack of clarity and consistency.
