Another one that I have found vastly helpful is http://www.LinkedIn.com. It's free to join and they have a tremendous number of groups and threads for authors. They cover everything from any genre about anything to do with getting published, marketing, to just general discussions. It is probably the single most used and best authority on being an author, editor, agent, or what have you.
Because of them I now have some good marketing strategies going and am selling books.
