You're right but I don't think Harry was thinking so much about how his parents died when he was young but instead about the monster that was created when Tom Riddle Sr. left his pregnant wife. James and Lily sacrificed themselves where as Tom and Merope took the easy way out with no thought of their child. I think Harry was afraid that Lupin was doing what Tom had done. Harry was blunt and maybe even cruel when he said it but Lupin was being a coward and needed to hear it.

Yes, the connection is definitely more than just Harry being able to see what Voldemort is thinking; it's emotional, and that's pretty frightening.
I felt bad for Lupin when I read the whole scene. I can't really believe he'd leave his wife and unborn child, though. I understand what he's saying and that he'd feel guilty for passing on the werewolf gene to a child that did nothing to deserve it, but I can't really believe he'd even consider abandoning his wife and kid. I do think Harry was a little too harsh, though. Poor Lupin. He could have been far kinder. But I also understand where Harry was coming from, because he wouldn't want anyone to be parentless like he was.
I was kind of wondering if Tonks was going to end up pregnant. It's sweet, obviously, but a little scary. She won't be able to defend herself and her child as well as she could under normal circumstances, if the need arises for her to defend herself.
Umbridge...hmmmm. I guess we'll have to see how everything works out. Interesting she ended up with the locket...
