it is...happened to me, took it to the local B&N store and they gave me a new one...no questions asked

Cracked turn page? REPLACE IT FOR FREE!

My turn page on both sides became cracked about a couple of weeks ago.

 

As soon as it happened I went into a BN to see what they can do since I have the 2 year warranty.

 

They replaced it within 10 minutes NO HASSLE.

 

If anyone has a warranty go replace it!!

 

I was told that the original shipment of nooks were made of different plastic that a later batch.

 

I don't know if they will replace it as part of a 1-year manufacturer warranty so if anyone tries it just let me know!!

Not to be ----- (what's the word?).

 

But if you have done a search and you'll see that a lot of people had cracked forward buttons and got it replaced for free easily, no hassle.   B&N knows this problem and they had it remendied just like you said, and yes of course it's under the warranty - it's their fault and it's a known issue hence why it was no hassle thing. :-)

 

Glad you got it replaced though!
