Re: Fifty Shades of Grey

Saw James on 20/20 (her first ever interview) and she says that a book from Christian's perspective is a possibility for her next book.

She admits that Stephany Myer's Twilight books were an inspiration, but I interpreted it more as a "if she can do it, I can do it" sort of inspiration. It's a funny interview what with her blushing and laughing at herself. She seems, as the British would say, gobsmacked and obviously embarrassed that the books have gain such a large following.  She also says that she hopes her two teenaged sons never read the books.

Re: Fifty Shades of Grey

There's a very funny parody of Fifty Shades of Grey called Fifty Shades of Black and Blue .  It's about  Annabelle Stilletto from Jersey City, New Jersey. Annabelle is a graduate of Beauty School but doesn't have a job and lives with her roommate in a dumpy apartment. Her life changes overnight when she goes for a job interview with the rich and handsome Vinnie Griso, the heir to the famous Vinnie's Auto Parts fortune. With this sky blue eyes, jet black hair, tight pants and pointy shoes, Vinnie is Annabelle's dream come true. When she falls for his seductive charms, she discovers that Vinnie has a deep, dark secret and a strict set of "rules" that she must obey. At first she resists, but she soon discovers the secret pleasures of domination as she becomes "black and blue."

Re: Fifty Shades of Grey

I agree with you Meme3VS - the book is more than just about erotica. This type of book is a first for me -so normally I would not have given "Fifty Shades" a 2nd glance. I am so glad I did. I loved the banter between the main characters in their emails. And the writer did a great job at making the book story of their growing relationship, not just sex. This is a "hot" read.

Re: Fifty Shades of Grey

I agree whole heartily with your comments regarding this series. I have read the series more than once. I read them the first time before they became so wildly popular. These are not literary greats, but they are an entertaining read.
