I can honestly say that gay erotica interests me more than heterosexual erotica. I believe (as I have said in my “about me section”) that this is because I thoroughly understand the fights, feelings, and problems of a heterosexual relationship. BUT I have been with women BUT women I feel do not face the same prejudices as men when it comes to openly displaying affection. I see women holding hands and being a couple in general all the time…. Men not so much. I like how some specific authors bring to light the problems that gay men face in our society today. I feel that my interest comes from wanting to understand. Do not get me wrong I have absolutely nothing against homosexuals at all. I being Bi myself would be a smidge of a hypocrite if I were. I am just honestly curious. I wish to understand better the hardships that men face in our homophobic society. I have three gay friends but they do not seem to keen on talking about this. It’s like pulling teethe with pliers. Ask them about their romp in the sack though… and you can’t shut them up.
I am curious to get others take on this point. Men and Women alike.
