Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Help! I can't remember the name or author of this book!

[ Edited ]
In the 90s, I was reading a book about a girl who's a chronic masturbator and it was actually a great book, filled with characters. It concentrated on how she couldn't find anyone for herself since she thought no one would be a better lover than she was to herself.  Anyhow, I lost the book and forgot what it was called. Does anyone know what book I'm talking about?

Geez, I'm pretty sure I'd remember this one if I'd read it!  Sorry I can't help!

I've never heard of such a book! But I'm intrigued - how did it end? Did she find somebody?

I wish I knew how it ended, I never got that far!  No one seems to know what book this is.  I guess it'll be lost forever... :smileyindifferent:

Ok since Becke upped the ante let me ask a few questions. Was it an erotica novel or a main stream that just happened to be about this subject. Can you remember if she eventually found "mr right".

I think it was an erotica novel.  She was struggling with finding Mr. Right, but wound up finding someone and using them as her servant for a short time.

I specifically remember a part in the book where she figured out a way to use a sweater to cover her lap so that she could do her thing in the library without anyone noticing.  Yeah...it was a pretty good book.  :smileyhappy:
