I'll be posting the March releases each Tuesday in the NRT thread but there are several books not to be missed this month so I'll be posting more in-depth round-ups of those titles here.
As many historical as I read, there's probably twice as many tossed onto the TBR pile - there are only so many hours in a day and I do have two toddlers to chase after. My point being that I've got three or four unread Ashes on the shelf, and each time I see one I think, "I've got to read that!"
This month I took action, and I'm so glad I did. There's so much to devour here: a Scots hero whose speech is almost undecipherable, a spine-of-steel heroine who is brave as she is bright, a trapped-together premise, a secret circle of spies, sensationally intelligent writing, and a true, week-in-the-knees love story.
Here's the story description:
London gossips are asking: What use has society of an exclusive gentleman’s club if no gentlemen are ever seen to pass through its door?
After years as an agent of the secret Falcon Club, Lord Leam Blackwood knows it’s time to return home to Scotland. One temptation threatens his plans—Kitty Savege. The scandal-plagued lady warms his blood like a dram of fine whiskey. But a dangerous enemy stands in the way of desire, and to beat this foe Leam needs Kitty’s help…
Kitty never wanted to spend her holidays in a wretched country village! With snow up to the windows, escape is nowhere in sight. A roguish Scottish lord, however, is. His rough brogue sends tingles of heat from Kitty’s frigid toes to her chilled nose, but she’s confident she can withstand that. What she cannot control is the reaction of her carefully guarded heart when she discovers this beast is, in fact, no beast at all…
Head on over to Katharine's website for some fun extras and a list of her ongoing blog tour. She's an author I am now determined to be ahead of the curve with...This book is the first in a new series involving the "Falcon Club" (see above re: secret spy circle) and so it's a great opportunity for you to try somebody new!

The full moon is their mistress. They are predators of pleasure and pain. Feared by humans, envied by werewolves, the Dire Wolves are immortal shifters, obeying no laws but their own bestial natures. Once they were many, but now only six remain, a dangerous wolfpack forever on the hunt…
Rifter leads the pack, embracing the lifestyle and ethics of an outlaw biker even as he battles an ancient enemy who has become a new, powerful force. But with his Brother Wolf raging inside him, howling to be unleashed, he needs to satisfy his hungers. And when he meets a drop-dead gorgeous blonde drinking alone in a bar that caters to both human and inhuman, Rifter’s primal instinct is to claim her.
Gwen has her own desires, long unfulfilled. She hopes a passionate night with the leather-clad, Harley-riding biker will ease her suffering. The seizures that have wracked her body her entire life are incurable—and they’re killing her.
But none of that will matter if Rifter can’t stop the growing threat to them all — trappers who are determined to enslave humankind and use the Dire wolves as part of their nefarious plan.

There was a character named Mac Oceanus in Janet Chapman's Midnight Bay series, a trio of books featuring time-travelling Highlanders who land in modern-day Maine.
Spellbound Falls they are put to use! Not only does Mac have to forge a relationship with his newly-discoverd son, but he's decided that the war widow Olivia Baldwin would make a suitable wife. Of course love and romance and magic follow! You don't have to have read the previous books; Spellbound Falls is meant to be the first of a new series and I think it stands alone fairly well, though Mac fans will enjoy reading his book.
Can I just say how much I love Maine as a setting? I know that I'm a New Englander and am therefore biased, but still. I just love it!

i'd missed this series but lucky for me all the books were in my TBR pile, because once I finished this one I went back and read the previous three:
This series is just flat-out funny, and what appealed to me was the hapless vampire heroine Jane. She's like a vintage chick lit heroine, always getting into trouble, cracking wise, handling her man (a sexy vampire named Gabriel.) Sometimes the light-hearted vamp novels just hit the spot, and this one hit my funny bone. I really enjoyed it!

I really rely on my Avon historical authors. It's such a relief when they arrive because I rarely don't love all of them!
Here are three from March that were really good:
Let the hunt begin …
Lisa Madison wants a husband, and she has just the candidate in mind: Robert Langley. Trouble is, the infuriating man insists on seeing her as the impish girl she once was—even as every other gentleman in London has taken notice of her womanly . . . charms. When her beauty lands her in danger, it's Robert who comes to the rescue, only to announce his affections are not of the romantic kind!
Robert saw enough sorrow in his parents' union to know he wants nothing to do with marriage, which is exactly what he'll be trapped into if he acts on his desire for the irksome siren. And then Lisa does what Robert least expects: gives up on him! As feigned indifference gives way, blistering passion burns at last. But just before the pair can succumb to hard-won bliss, an enemy with unfinished business lurks, threatening to destroy them both.
What a scoundrel wants, a scoundrel gets. . .
A decade ago, the Marquess of Bourne was cast from society with nothing but his title. Now a partner in London's most exclusive gaming hell, the cold, ruthless Bourne will do whatever it takes to regain his inheritance—including marrying perfect, proper Lady Penelope Marbury.
A broken engagement and years of disappointing courtships have left Penelope with little interest in a quiet, comfortable marriage, and a longing for something more. How lucky that her new husband has access to an unexplored world of pleasures.
Bourne may be a prince of London's illicit underworld, but he vows to keep Penelope untouched by its wickedness—a challenge indeed as the lady discovers her own desires, and her willingness to wager anything for them . . . .even her heart.
Six Regency heroes—One royal hangover
An infamous night has been lost to memory. The scandalous Dukes of the Royal Entourage must make amends. The first step is a heroic rescue.
One of England’s most disreputable peers, Alexander Barclay, Duke of Kress, has stumbled upon a perfect opportunity for redemption. Having been exiled to Cornwall by the Prince Regent himself, Barclay discovers lovely Roxanne Vanderhaven clinging to the edge of a cliff, stranded there by her murderous blackguard of a husband . . . just waiting to be rescued.
Back on solid ground, Roxanne is desperate for a new life— once she’s retaliated for her husband’s despicable actions. Surprisingly, she finds herself drawn to her unlikely champion, certainly the last man in England she could count on. Yet, the infamous Duke of Kress isn’t quite the scoundrel he seems . . .
