Some fun ebook news today: Awaken the Highland Warrior by Anita Clenney is available for .99.
And: Lavinia Kent is releasing an exclusive e-series called The Real Duchesses of London. Here's what the press release has to say about these regency-set novellas.
Regency England just got real(ity) in a fresh new series of e-book original novellas by celebrated author Lavinia Kent. It all starts with a cartoonist’s sketch, in a widely-read London scandal sheet, of five women. They seemingly lead perfect lives, but under the façade, they are catty, they are conniving, they are out to conquer the social stratosphere…no matter what it takes. But, it all gets real, really fast, for the Real Duchesses of London! Who are the Real Duchesses? Meet Kathryn, Linnette, Georgianna, Elizabeth and Annabelle:
Kathryn, The Duchess of Harrington: “I am the perfect duchess. I am beautiful, rich, well-read, well-spoken and have a civilized relationship with the duke. What more could a woman want?”
Elizabeth, The Countess of Westhampton: “I may not be a duchess, but I am more of a lady than any of them. You'll never see me in the scandal sheets. Mind you, I am not saying I haven't ever been scandalous -- just that you'll never know.”
Georgianna, Lady Richard Tennant: “My son will be a duke. It doesn't matter if I get to be a duchess as long as I know my son will inherit from his uncle, will hold the title. My husband may have broken many of his promises to me, but that one is absolute.”
Linnette, The Dowager Duchess of Doveshire: “I have no intention of giving up what is mine. I've run the house and the estates for years. Why would I ever give them up now? I don't care who the new duke is.”
Annabelle, The Marchioness of Tattingstong: “They say that because I am American I have no taste, no grace, no style, no refinement. I have every intention of showing them just how wrong they are -- and when the time comes I will be the perfect duchess.”

Luring a Lady I'm thrilled to discover this morning that the Stanislaski Family titles by Nora Roberts are finally available as ebooks. They're reasonably priced at $5.59 or so...and I'm loving having them available on my NookColor when I need to revisit Alex or Rachel, etc.
Now to get the publisher of Linda Howard's works to get her earlier books on ebook format!
She doesn't seem to have her own website and the publishers I've written who've done some of her books tell me they don't have the authorization for the ones I want. Bummer!!

Last year several of us were taken with Jean Brashear's
The Jace who thought she knew exactly who she was and what she wanted becomes both pawn and queen in a battle between the dark and the light. As she seeks to fulfill her duty to protect the innocent, an ancient amulet with healing powers is the battleground on which she and others may die if she makes the wrong choice between the evidence before her eyes and the yearnings of a heart she is no longer sure she can trust.

Here's the story: Newly-minted Santa Fe police detective Justine "Jace" Carroll finds herself enmeshed in what began as a simple death of a drifter that takes labyrinthine twists, drawing her deeper into a world of shifting realities. At the center of the tangled knot is the mesmerizing and mysterious Dante Sabanne, a sexy, powerful, wealthy recluse whose involvement with ancient poisons, mystical lore, exotic sexual practices and unusual weaponry makes him by turns a crucial expert witness, a devastating lover...and possibly the man behind a cult whose profane rituals have turned from depraved to deadly.

Thanks, Melanie - I just ordered it!

Reader_824 tipped us off already - Thank you!- but I wanted to share some additional information about the Rachel Gibson ebook news.
For a limited time, some of these are available at special, affordable prices, so if you've never read Gibson or it's been years, NOW IS THE TIME!
The Trouble with Valentine's Day
And: Coming May 1st, Gibson returns to Lovett, TX, the setting of Daisy’s Back in Town, with a new short story:
Crazy On You
Lily Darlington’s been called crazy in her day-and, yeah, driving her car into her ex-husband’s living room probably wasn’t the smartest move ever made-but the louse deserved it. Now Lily is happily single, and she’s turned it all around. She knows she’s a good mom, a homeowner, and a businesswoman, all wrapped up in one good-looking package.
A package that police officer Tucker Matthews is dying to unwrap. This ex-military man sure doesn’t need another woman in his life. His last girlfriend left him with nothing but memories and a cat named Pinky! But living next door to Lily has been driving him nuts. He dreams about her long blonde hair and even longer legs. And maybe it’s time to go a little crazy…and fall in love.
I am so excited by all this Gibson news. I love her books!

Melanie...thanks for the info on the new series by Gibson, one of my all time favorite authors. I've been re-reading the Chinook hockey series and recently did the one in which Lily drives into Ronnie's house. I'm really looking forward to the short story about Lily and then the new series!

Thank you! I can't believe how many new authors I've found and enjoyed since getting my e-reader. The low prices let me try one out...or use the sample...to find out if what they write is what I enjoy reading. So far, I think only 1 of about 35 have been a disappointment. What a world the ereader has opened to me!!
