Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. On May 1, we’re saying goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: New Release Tuesday!

Melanie_Murrary, I have order some of the books that you posted. My poor wallet is very sad, but I am very happy. I have so many of my own books in my TBR pile that I don't know when I will get to them. I keep getting books from my library.

I am reading several from the library. Many of the authors I love keep having books published. I wish I had more time to read and to cross stitch.

I love your posts. You keep us up on the lastest romances.

Keep it up.

Re: New Release Tuesday!

I usually buy a lot of paperbacks per month. I bought in mass the first part on Oct. I am going to have to cut back some and watch my income.

Right now I am half way through Heather Graham's Dust to Dust.

Re: New Release Tuesday!

My old library had a paperback exchange. Every week I would drop off what I'd read and trade those books for something new (or new to me). Nowadays, I bring the books to my Romance Writers chapter meetings -- we all trade books there, and I'm more likely to find books by new or little known authors this way. But, I admit, for the most part I buy my books. I'm too impatient to wait.

Re: New Release Tuesday!

dja1231, I did not realize that that was your motto. I felt like your were complaining about my post. I can see now that that was not the case.

I just meant that there are so many books out there that I want that my wallet gets poor and sad, but I get very happy reading may books. I love my books and I love to read them and read the ones from the libraries. What is life without books?

I believe that Melanie does a very good job on giving us the new releases. This way we can make our TBR piles bigger. I am lucky so far my pile has not fell over yet. I am waiting for my books to attack me and tell me to read them. I am working on getting to point where I can read some of my own. I am finishing up my librariy books and just check out ones I really want to read and make time for my own.

I especially want to read the new Diana Gabaldon-An Echo in the Bone. That will be the first one I read of my own.

Ain't Too Proud to Beg If you're looking for a new contemporary author, try Susan Donovan. Here's the story for her latest: Now 35, Josie Sheehan has collected failed relationships the way some women collect designer handbags, and the only man who's been sharing her bed is her Labradoodle, Genghis. All that changes when she meets Rick Rousseau, a smart and sexy pet store CEO who's falls head-over-heels for her. Just when Josie thinks she's found something more than puppy love, she discovers that Rick has a complicated past -- and a secret that could put her in danger.

And old Scotland is only a wish away…Scarred by betrayal, Will Rollo lives to defend the monarchy against traitors…and he rides alone. The last thing he needs to contend with is a love-struck woman. So when Felicity appears, spirited by magic, Rollo’s determined to crush all tender feelings for her. But as passion binds them in a dark era, where witchcraft is punishable by death, Rollo must make a daring choice: send Felicity back to her own time, or endanger both their lives….

The Girl On Legare Street Karen White is a Romantic Reads favorite. This is the latest book in her Tradd Street series, about a woman in South Carolina who can see ghosts.

The Bargain Bride by Barbara Metzger is a historical romance between a man and woman whose marriage was arranged thirteen years earlier.

Shifting Plains by Jean Johnson is a prequel to the Sons of Destiny books. Tava Ell Var never really knew her mother, but she did know her tragic fate at the hands of a band of cruel shapeshifters-a history set down by Tava's father as a warning about life on the Shifting Plains. But after her father is murdered, Tava encounters a Shifterai warband fighting to rid the Plains of the terrorizing bandits. Shifterai leader Kodan Sin Siin is sympathetic to Tava's suffering, but he's determined to bring the wary young woman to the Plains. Because he knows her secret: She, like he and his men, is a shapeshifter. Once she joins them, he knows that she will see for herself the true fate that awaits her on the Plains, and most of all, lose her fear of his people. And, in time, he knows she will find her place is in their fight-and by his side.

One Night With You by Francis Ray Cougars, brush fires, snow storms—rancher Duncan McBride tackles it all without a flinch. But the archeologist who’s come to authenticate cave drawings found on his property is the kind of trouble he’d sworn to avoid. Far from the aging academic he was expecting, Raven La Blanc is a stunning woman…and definitely not sticking around this small Montana town once her job is done. The primitive drawings at Duncan’s ranch are Raven’s ticket to the tenured position she’s worked so hard for back in Santa Fe. But there’s no denying the attraction between her and Duncan. Maybe, just this once, she can put her work aside and explore the depths of her own heart and soul? One night may be all it takes for Raven to really find what she’s looking for…

Waking the Dead This is the third in a series that looks really good by Kylie Brant. It's called the Mindhunters series. Previous books were Waking Nightmare and Waking Evil. For more, visit the author's web page.

Take Me For a Ride is the third book in Karen Kendall's series about an agency that recovers stolen art. This is the story of hard-living Eric McDougal and the accidental art thief he must protect.

Yours for the Night by Jasmine Haynes Michelle Buonfiglio wrote a wonderful piece about Jasmine's new collection of erotic stories featuring escort heroines.

Captive Desires by Diane Whiteside is a fantasy about an author and the hero she's created, a hero who is very real.

Taming The Beast by Heather Grothaus After years of turmoil, Roderick Cherbon has left the Crusades to return to the home he loves. But the wars have changed him, and the heir who thought to heal his father's injustices has become a vicious beast of a man, scarred inside and out. He will speak to no one, see no one; he leaves the shadows of his ruined keep only under the darkness of night. And even in death his father mocks him: to retain his land and title, Roderick, the Beast, must marry. Lady Michaela Fortune is reviled for her poverty, ridiculed for her dreams, and preyed on for her soft heart. Humiliation and want dog her beloved family, and her pride is an indulgence she can ill afford. Cherbon and its shattered lord offer a solution. But to court a man who has fallen so low, Michaela will need all her grace and beauty to harbor any hopes of taming the beast...

Crimson (Dead World, Book 3) by Jordan Summer On the run from their enemies, hunted by the law they once dedicated their lives to, werewolves Morgan Hunter and Gina “Red” Santiago have no choice -- they must enter the outlaw territories in order to disappear completely from society. With only themselves to trust, they must somehow navigate this “No Man’s Land” full of outlawed Others and dangerous nomadic tribes. Losing themselves in this arid wasteland would be easy, but Morgan and Red know that the only way they can regain their life together is by turning the tables on the man who is hunting them -- destroying his plans to rule the united territories once and for all.

Wild Heart Leo Roberts is next in line for an earldom and the power and fortune that come with it, but he is uncultured, unrefined--and completely untamed. . .until governess Ella Finch arrives upon the scene. Can so young and inexperienced a woman tutor him in the manners and mores of his class? Leo's mysterious past has rendered him an outsider, too wild for polite society. But he finds her innocence most intriguing. . .

All He Desires Far from home and her noble relatives, Miss Caroline Huntington has been injured in a fall from her horse. Called to her side, Alex Trentham knows he must assist her, though he has not practiced as a physician for a long while. Just to see so lovely a woman in a state of undress is a hard test of his self-control. Caroline is all that is warm and feminine, beautiful and pure. Brave to a fault, she does not flinch under his hands, and soon she is on the mend. To hide his feelings becomes impossible and Alex cannot. Her radiant innocence is dangerous to a worldly man...and she seems achingly eager to experience all the pleasure he could show her...

The Best Gift I'm intrigued by this new holiday novel from Wendy Markham. It's set at Christmastime and has a paranormal thriller twist to it: When Clara wakes up on Christmas morning next to her husband Drew, she's filled with joy because she has the perfect present: she's seven weeks pregnant with their first child. But no sooner does Clara tell Drew the news than an earthquake strikes in nearby San Francisco. The next thing Clara knows she's waking up in bed-alone-and discovers she's three years in the future. Where is her husband and what has happened to the child she was expecting? Clara is no stranger to unusual occurrences, but the last thing on her Christmas list was to time travel...again.

I loved Karen White's HOUSE ON TRADD STREET so I'll have to read her new one, too. I've already ordered the new Lacey Alexander sizzler and the new Susan Donovan, too. I LOVE her books, and got such a kick out of it when one of my favorites turned out to be set in the same county I live in!!

You can still show covers if you click "copy image" and paste it in. You just can't do a product link. It's a pain.

Re: New Release Tuesday!

There's a new holiday-themed suspense out today from beloved author, some erotica worth taking a look at, and our series favorites!

Ice by Linda Howard Gabriel McQueen has only just arrived home on holiday leave from the service when his county-sheriff father sends him back out again with new marching orders. A brewing ice storm, and a distant neighbor who’s fallen out of contact, have the local lawman concerned. So he enlists Gabriel to make the long haul to the middle of nowhere, and make sure Lolly Helton is safe and sound. It’s a trip the younger McQueen would rather not make given the bitter winter weather–and the icy conditions that have always existed between him and Lolly. But there’s no talking back when your dad is the town’s top cop. And there’s no turning back when night falls just as Gabriel arrives–and discovers that the weather outside isn’t the only thing that’s frightful. Spotting strangers in Lolly’s home–one of them packing a weapon–is all it takes to kick Gabriel into combat mode. And his stealth training is all he needs to extract Lolly from the house without alerting her captors. But when the escape is discovered, the heat–and the hunt–are on. And the winter woods are nowhere to be once the ice storm touches down, dropping trees, blocking roads, and trapping the fleeing pair in the freezing dark.

Love Under Cover by Jessica Brody  Jennifer Hunter never saw herself as the relationship type. After all, she’d spent the last two years of her life as an undercover fidelity inspector, hired to test men’s faithfulness—not exactly the kind of job that lends itself to intimacy. But when Jamie Richards walked into her life, everything changed, and Jennifer vowed to trade in her undercover lifestyle for something more normal. That’s why she formed the Hawthorne Agency: five full-time fidelity inspectors, hired to carry out Jennifer’s mission while she manages the process from a safe (relationship-saving) distance. Jen's business is booming, and just when it seems like things can’t possibly get any better, Jamie proposes. Despite her lifelong issues with trust and commitment, Jen says yes.  But can a woman who’s seen nothing but failed marriages ever come to terms with tying the knot herself?  And when Jen receives a frantic phone call from one of her employees in trouble, she’s forced to make a choice. A choice that lands her in an all-too familiar place—a strange hotel room, kissing another man. And she knows that nothing will be the same.

No Reservations by Megan Hart and Lauren Dane Christmas isn't so merry for Kate and Leah. Kate's romantic winter holiday is destroyed by the sudden and uninvited presence of Dix's annoying ex-wife while Brandon's super-perfect family and a diamond ring sends Leah running for the refuge of a girl's holiday in Sin City with Kate in tow.Dix and Brandon both know what they want. Hopping a plane in hot pursuit, the men show up in Vegas, ready to use every sensual trick they have to convince Kate and Leah to take a gamble on forever.

And here are the series' covers, since the Add Product button is still MIA:
