Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

Happy 4th too all my freinds who love love and happy ever afters

fireworks

I just started

Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy #2)  I loved her first in the trilogyA Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy #1)  and have been (im) paitently waiting for this one to come out. Well it comes out Tuesday and it's amazing maybe even better than the first one.

I'll have a Q&A with the author on Tuesday, can't wait to see what she has to say

Hi haven, have you read Gena's Lord's of the Underworld series, this is a spin off of that one. They are really good too.

I agree I loved this novel

No, I haven't had a chance to read the Lord's of the Underworld series, but I keep meaning to.  Which series by her do you like the most?

I just posted a comment on your Q&A thread with Virginia. Lori Wilde is another author I know in real life - she is soooo nice! I love her books, too.

You know I came late to historicals, and Loretta Chase is one of the authors who cinched the deal. I LOVE her books! I dive right in and don't come up until I've finished the book - at least, that's what I prefer to do. Sometimes life intrudes and I have to bookmark my page, but even with interruptions I finished this one in just a few hours. Her recent books are all on my keeper shelves - I have several more of her early books in my TBR pile. I want to read them all!

In this book, I love the way Longmore accepts Sophy as she is without question. He's an interesting character - very laid back for the most part, with a wry way of making a joke of his lack of braininess. He intuitively understands Sophy, who is a wonderful character, too. I'm not as enamored of Regency fashions as most historical readers are, so I got a kick out of the descriptions in Longmore's POV - he's entirely mystified by the bits and bobs yet appreciative of the end result.

I hope Clara will get her own story soon, too!

Anne - They're all wonderful! We all have different tastes, but these two are my all-time favorites:

Mr. Impossible

Lord of Scoundrels

Really, you won't go wrong no matter which book you start with. She has a marvelous way with words, and her characters are unforgettable.

Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy #1)  Following recommendation here, I am reading A Discovery of Witches.  So far im intrigued.  I finished several books this week.  One book was super hot erotic romance.  It was first erotic romance for me.  Must say super duper hot.  Forbidden Pleasure by Lora Leigh.  Also, finished Intrinsical by a new author for me Lani Woodland.  It was good YA.  I met her at a B&N store and very friendly.  Her book was very good.  I will read 2nd book.  Her 3rd is in the works she says.  For now, thanks everyone for the recommendations.

The Taker (Taker Trilogy #1)  Hi Anne!  Sorry.  I thought it would show up as an attachment to your entry.  Nevertheless, I was writing regarding The Taker.  You had said you were reading it and would let us know.  I'm curious....  Thanks, Katrina

Hi Katrina - Yes, I liked The Taker - it was a little draggy in spots, but now that I've finished it, those parts were necessary to the story. The next book in the trilogy is already out and I expect to read it but there are other books that are coming out this week that I want to read, as well as many in my TBR pile. Hope this helps ...Anne

Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

Lover Reborn (Black Dagger Brotherhood Series #10)

Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood Series #9)

Lover Avenged (Black Dagger Brotherhood Series #7)

Lover Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood Series #8)

Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood Series #2)      This past week, I've been a kick, rereading the BDB. except for Dark Lover and Lover Enshrined...I must say Lover Enshrined was by far my least favorite book thus far. Butch's story is still in transit, as is V's.

Guilty Pleasure

Wicked Nights

Fallen (Lauren Kate's Fallen Series #1)    I finished Guilty Pleasures by Lora Leigh.  It was good.  I am currently reading Wicked Nights and Fallen.  I have not read any of books from these two authors and really interested in the series.  Both books are very good so far.

Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

Fire Kissed  I started this book today and I REALLY love it.  I was hooked from the prologue, and really felt for the character, Kaye Brand from the beginning.  Even the prologue is gripping. I like the twist of angels against mages, something that I haven't really seen before.  I recommend this book to anyone and I'm hoping she has more.
