Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

I'm almost finished with my in-person book club read People of the Book (belongs more in mystery or General fiction) Inspired by the true story of the Bosnian Haggadah (a Jewish prayer book) it's really good.

I have this on my shelf - I've been dying to read it because it looks really good. Now I'll move it closer to the top of the pile. Did you read March? I have that one, too. It's by the same author and, I believe, is the story of Mr. March from Little Women.

No I didn't Melanie, but her writing is so intense and great that you don't want to put the book down. So March will go on my pile.
Thanks

Here are links to the books we're talking about, by author Geraldine Brooks: March and People of the Book. March won the Pulitzer prize.

I'm reading this book by Jeanne Adams, and I like it a lot -- it's a very fast-paced romantic suspense:   Dark and Dangerous

Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

I'm reading The Sins of Lord Easterbrook by Madeline Hunter. What an unusual hero! He's able to read how people are feeling and because it's such an overwhelming "gift" to have he's a bit of a recluse, spending his time meditating and avoiding social engagements. But he's completely commanding and handsome and smart. A really good story so far.

I have this on my shelf and almost picked it up to read instead of the Hunter. I was going to read it very soon, so let us know what you think! Do you have the second book in the series, too?

Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

I am sooooo excited to be reading an Advance Reader Copy of Virginia Kantra's Sea Lord, which will be coming out soon.  This is one of my favorite new series, and the new book may well be my favorite of the three.  Love it!

Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

I just finished Barbara Delinski's "While My Sister Sleeps" it was such a poignant story, something that no family should ever have to go through, but this family learned and grew from the experience and became better people because of it. It's well worth the trouble to get a copy and read it, I have long been a fan of Barbara's and her writing just gets better and better.

You should really pick this one up Melanie! I just finished it and I really didn't want it to end so I was really happy that I won an autographed copy of the second novel Dawnkeepers.
