I am also reading this wonderful novel. I got this suggestion in the Paranormal & Urban Fantasy B&N thread. Nicole Peeler is a wonderful author, I think it is her first book. Not sure. She has a second book coming out in this series soon.

I remember picking up The Duchess when I was in my 2nd or 3rd year of HS, that was about 13 years ago now. Wow!
I remember it was my moms book. I loved it and started reading all of them from the beginning. Of course when I got to The Duchess (#10) again I re-read it. I still have that copy, but I have somehow lost track of some of the other ones, so I will have to buy them again. I don't mind.
I finally finished
This story was a let down compaired with Cam and Chase's books. She rushed the book it seems because the love fell flat which is pretty hard to do with Lora Leigh and all the steamy scenes she writes but this just didn't cut it for me. I hope the next book is better!

Melanie_Murray, I just finished To Taste Temptation.
To Taste Temptation (Legend of the Four Soldiers Series #1)
THis was a great read. I like the characters and the story line. I have read some of Elizabeth Hoyt's books before. I have some more that I want to read.
I recommend this book.
I need to read some more of Eternal on the Water. I am going to start The Swan THieves by Elizabeth Kostova. It looks good.
I also like Jude Deveraux. I have started Lavendar Morning and want to read the next in the series. I read the Raider a long time ago. Jude always gives us a good read.

Tami is one of my all time favorite romance author who a few years ago turned strickly to serious mystery writing. This one is unique as it's set in 1985, before 9/11-before computers were on the scene of crime fighting and before DNA evidence.

As a matter of fact in this one there is a love story and wouldn't you know it, it's between a girl in her late twenties and a guy in his mid forties. But I still like it.

I liked this book quite a lot. I will, however, agree that it is different from a lot of her others. I've been reading Jude Deveraux's books for oh wow, 22 years! Gulp. I started with
Knight in Shining Armor and it is still one of my favorite books. My copy of the book has a differnet cover than this one shown, though. Anyhow, I recommend Lavender Morning. It is a little different but still enjoyable.
