Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

Now, I am reading Her Master and Commander by Karen Hawkins. I got this recommendation from a sweet elderly lady at the library. She said that she "stole it from her granddaughter" and was glad that she did. She said she hadn't enjoyed a book like that in a long time. She got all flushed and everything, so I knew it would be a good read.

Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

Just finished Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning-- a very neat paranormal set in Ireland. The next book is out in hardback. Sigh... I rarely do hardback anymore. They are so heavy and take up so much room, but I may make an exception for this one.

Living in the city and having to take the subway all the time is what drove me to paperbacks permanently. Hardcovers are just too heavy!

Where to begin? Our Melanie's books fit that description, as do books by Jennifer Crusie, Lani Diane Rich, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, some books by Rachel Gibson and Lori Foster, books (found in the Literature section) by Melissa Nathan (I'm listing my favorites, not necessarily the best sellers) and so on and so on.

You might also try Susan Mallery, Susan Andersen, Jane Graves, and Diana Holquist. I also love some of the chick lit authors for romantic comedy purposes: Sophie Kinsella, Lauren Lipton, Emily Giffin...

Yeah, I forgot Sophie Kinsella. I haven't read her famous Shopaholic ones but I love her single title books.

Be sure to read An Officer and A Gentleman, it's about the brother (and just as good as the first).

Right now I am reading Come Love A Stranger by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss; older, but all her stuff is always in style for me.

This is a little off topic but has anyone been watching the new vampire series on TV, "Moonlight?" If so what do you think of it. Jo

Yes, I have been keeping up with it and I really like it. Alex O'Loughlin does the part perfectly. I can't wait to see what happens!

The writer's strike really put a crimp on TV watching. Good thing we all love books! Jo

Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

I'm reading the second in the Nightwalker series, Gideon. Elijah, the newest one just came out, so I'm going to do them right in a row.

There are people who love you, Faith. Or who one day will. Even if you can't see them beside you, right here, right now, they're out there. But if you let the dark get into your eyes, you might never find them. So it's best to keep a little light with you, along the way.

Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

I just finished two contemporaries by favorite authors; REALLY SOMETHING by Shirley Jump and THE PERFECT MATCH by Kimberly Cates. I loved both of them!

Re: What BOOK are you reading now?

Right now I am reading "All that Matters" by Jan Goldstein and "Heaven is Real" by Don Piper and Cecil Murphey. They aren't really romantic novels, but I tend to take little breaks between romance depending on my mood....lol I figure a little too much of the romantic stuff clouds my reality a little bit.

Me too Jodi. But I'm also reading Blood Brother's by Nora Roberts for my romance fix. Who knows though, THAR might have some romance in it later too.

I am reading Heir by Barbara Taylor Bradford. I love her new series Raverscar Dynasty. She use to be on the book clubs to discuss her books. Also Debbie MacComber. Are they going to be on anytime soon?
