What is your favorite Romance?

I know that it is the most asked questions, and in my experience one of the hardest to answer. I would like to hear what everyone has to say? I really am not sure I can pinpoint one general book. I do, however, favor a few series above all others. I prefer to read Paranormal Romance. I find its mentally stimulating! Just adds to imaginative details.....

Re: What is your favorite Romance?

I like all kinds of romance - paranormal, contemporary, historical, steampunk, romantic suspense. I'm not picky if the story is good!

Hi Darkkin, I was strictly a historical romance junkie (although I did read mystery and thrillers too, but preferred romance) too but then one day my hubby brought home a paranormal romance by Amanda Quick

Second Sight (Arcane Society Series #1)

and I looked at it and thought paranormal eew (sigh) but I read it and loved it. Now I read books from all genres and It's been wonderful. :smileyvery-happy:

Did you know she's been visiting at B&N's Mystery board all week? She also writes under the names Jayne Ann Krentz and Jayne Castle.

Re: What is your favorite Romance?

I have read some paranormal romance and they were ok. I guess I haven't found any that really kept me wanting more. I tend to stick to historical romance which I so love!

Hi, I'm Lindsey,

I agree with Becky aswell...  As long as its good I am a fan...  You just have to find the right book in another genre and then you get hooked.

I really wasnt in to Suspence/Action but then I read these books from Andy McDermott and he is a great writer!!!!

If you want to try a really good nonhistorical romance novel try Victoria Dahl, shes awesome!!!!!!!

Re: What is your favorite Romance?

If you guys like Historical Romance, you will love Julie Klassen. I found her by accident. Every Friday, on your Nook they give you a free book. I downloaded her book. I loved it. So I bought her other books. She has only written 4 books. They are Lady Of Milkweed Manor, The Apothecary's Daughter, The Silent Governess And The Girl In The Gatehouse. A great read. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.:smileyhappy:

Hi Becke - As you know, I read it and loved it - I urge everyone to read it, but as far as getting in line at Becke's first (romance) book signing, you'll have to get in line BEHIND ME !!!!!  Happy Reading (and Writing)...:smileyhappy:

Re: What is your favorite Romance?

The Apothecary's Daughter was my first book I read when I got my Nook (that was just recently).  I'll definitely get the others.  I agree, she is a very good read.  I didn't know you could get a free book every Friday.  Just starting with the Nook so I have lots to learn.

Whitney, My Love by Judith McNaught. I read this book many years ago and I LOVED it. I still count it as my favorite romance novel.

Re: What is your favorite Romance?

I read November of the Heart by Lavyrle Spencer when I was 16 and it's still probably one of if not my favorite romance novel.  We already had the book in my home and I just grabbed it off the shelf one day.  I read it straight through.  I still go back and read certain chapters.  It's amazing.

I love The Gift by Julie Garwood also.
