Karen White is a great author, she writes around the SC area. Some of her books involve a little paranormal too.

Try Robin Wells's books. They take place in Louisiana. And I'm drawing a blank otherwise though there are tons. And do you count Texas as the South?

Hot and Bothered I have Robin's books in my TBR pile, they look really good.
You should check out Dianne Castell's books if you want the flavor of the south; also the first book in Erin McCarthy's race car driver series.

This one is pretty good and its set in Tennessee. You get the feel of the small town life in this book.

Oh, I know LuAnn -- she's really nice! Check out her other books, too!
