who are your favorite authors

My favorite authors are Johanna Lindsey, Julie garwood, bertrice small, and a few others.   if there are any other suggestions I  welcome them.

Lavyrle Spencer, Julie Garwood, Kresley Cole, Catherine Anderson, Christine Warren, Madeline Baker/Amanda Ashley, Cheryl St. John, Linda Winstead Jones, Christine Feehan, Victoria Holt, J.R. Ward, Marsha Canham, and so many more.

I'm a sucker for Historical or Time Travel novels written a long time ago (by that I mean 80's or 90's).  I just can't get into a lot of the more modern books about it.  I also love more 'obscure' authors who only ended up writing maybe 2 or 3 books, but sometimes they are some of my favorites.  I can spend hours looking for new authors or authors who wrote their books a long time ago but didn't really get popular. 

Also, if you ever want more suggestions than what you get here, what I do is go to Barnes&Noble.com, enter Historical Romance/Paranormal Romance/Time Travel etc, whatever you're interested in.  And you get thousands upon thousands of recommendations.  That's how I've discovered most of my favorite authors.

Stephanie Meyer, J. R. Ward, Rachelle Mead, Ellen Schreiber, Mari Mancusi, P.C. Cast, Chloe Neill, Talia Jager, Cameron Dean, Claudia Gray, L.J. Smith, Dianne Duvall, and the list goes on.

In the past 18 months, I have read upwards of 120 books.  Of course you have to squeeze working in.  When I am reading I truly get lost in the book; especially if the writer captures my attention from the beginning to the end.  I love to unwind from the daily grind; reading does that for me.  I find myself reading a book longer than I had planned; and having to go to work the next day....just a little tired, but when you have a good writer and they take you away...sometimes it is just hard to close the book.
